I am gathering parts. I have a L33 5.3 I am pick up this weekend. I am curious if the truck intake is too high for the stock 240z hood. If so I have to swap to a LS1 or LS6 intake.
Anyone have the truck intake under the stock hood? Pics?
Appreciate the post. I saw those in another thread and there interesting and cheap, which is a bonus. Not sure I would trust our frame rails with that kit. Hopefully I can find someone that has a CX kit. I like the adjust-ability but I'm not sure of header clearance.
Just out of curiosity. I know the other kits work well and are proven but I'm curious about the CX Racing kit. There video on your tube shows the engine installed but no headers are used.
My setup with be a simple Aluminum L33 set up, ls6 intake, and a to be determined cam in a 71Z.
Insight is always valued.
I was always told to keep the seat mounts as there need for structural support. I was planning on removing mine a installing sub frame connectors. I'm 6'3 so I need the lower seat height. Love the project. I will keep looking for updates
Awesome. I just picked up my plastic 01 camaro gas tank today. You used the stock camaro tank straps and made new brackets? I have one with the regulator, pump, charcoal box, etc. its a complete unit. Did you use tthe stock fuel pump and regulator?
I dont have any experience with Megasquirt. The factory harness is preyy easy to get up and running from my undertanding. To start that the route I will be taking.
Where is that side roll bar placed. Picture looks like almost in the middle of the door? It looks like it going to have a real wide turning radius? Tire look very tight to the inside. Good fan work. I really like the full metal flares.
you can swap intake to the 96-98 intakes. Just remove the butterflies in the intake or JB weld them open. You will have much better choices of throttle bodies and intake pieces. Love the 4V setup. I put one of those motor in my old fox body.
