  1. I think Garret may be on to something here. As to the HP #'s being low it's possible that there are restrictions in the air flow at higher flow levels.
  2. There's nothing wrong with 14.7 volts what you need to worry about is how many amps are being put back into the battery vs how many are being pulled while your doing your thing?
  3. Nice #'s but, I would have thought there would be more Hp with the amount of boost your running. Gotta love that torque number! Any pics?
  4. I could really use some good advise here from the more experienced members on the board here. I've been slowly doing rust repair on my ZX for awhile now and I've come to what in my opinon is the hardest spot to repair on the car. What I have been doing is just cutting out the old metal and welding in new metal. Not hard but, I'm not sure this is the right thing to do in the this spot. This is the area near the gas tank right under the filler cap. If you look closely in the picture you can see that there is metal behind the area that needs to be repaired. I afriad that the metal behind the surface sheetmetal might have the same rust. Should I just cut the metal out and then make a decision? What should I spray in there to prevent new rust? There are so many product which one do I choose? Also, I'm a little nervous about doing this kind of work near the filler neck. Could I possibly just spray the area with some rust stopper of some sort and then use a filler to repair the area? Thanks for your time.
  5. Thats a cool project. I want to build one of those some day.
  6. Welcome to HybridZ! I would sugest you do some searching before asking such a broad question. All of this has been discussed many times and is in the archives.
  7. I love this swap! Back when I was in high school my best friend had a 83 RX7 and I had a 79 280ZX. We always dreamed of putting the L28 into the Rx7. They are so light weight and handle great. Keep us posted
  8. Same here. We got rain all day on Monday. It was great!
  9. How about letting the rest of us in on this tid bit of info.
  10. Fantastic car. Love the flairs on it.
  11. I wasn't expecting that! Nice run.
  12. I wish they would do that here but, mostly underground lines are only in newer areas. I agree these people do a horrible job when cutting the trees. Makes them look crazy. I don't even think tree harvesters are as desructive.
  13. I would really suggest you do lots of searching on this site as well as other turbo related sites to gain some more know how before tackling a turbo project for the first time. To answer the question no the header listed will not work on a turbo application. Most guys go with the factory turbo manifold. If ported it will handle 400 plus HP.
  14. I think I would pass on that and look into getting a better upgrade.
  15. I personaly have never had real good luck with it. I've tried with and without heat but, never get results that I would call acceptable for anyting that was very big. It must work or they would quite selling it. Right?
  16. Looks like good advise to me. Seems like you may be running more compression than you think you are.
  17. What are you planning to do about the bolt alignment issues. Looks like they are nowhere near linning back up.
  18. personally I think I would start off slow and work my way up. Whos doing the tuning on your megasquirt?
  19. Heres the best prices I found on brake parts back when I was in the market for the items you'll need. I got the merchandise asap also. behrents
