  1. Full time retail store manager with a large corporation, husband, dad, hammer mechanic, and all around this is "broke can you fix it" guy. Anyone else feel like they never have enough time to pursue thier personal intreast? Hope to go into consulting in the retail industry some day. Still lots to learn and accomplish.
  2. I personally paid the list price, closing and any upgrades such as the third space in my garage. Having said all that the house apraised for 5 g's more than the selling price by the time I closed. The same house now 6 months later is 10 g's more than what I paid. Plus there are no more of the larger lots left so you can't even get one with the big garage any more. We all know the garage is the only room in the house that really maters.
  3. Looks like one of the cars or trucks that you would see in certain parts of south Dallas. You know the parts where most of the folks are from another country that borders Texas!
  4. Like I've said before thats one sweet ZX. Love it. Can't wait to hear more about it this spring.
  5. Wow, it's amazing what you can do with a little time and effort! Looks good:)
  6. The Texas things works great except you have another thing in your windsheild that can block your vison is some situations. Also the one for the '07 is an ugly dark blue color that I'm still not used to.
  7. That looks good. I like the custom look.
  8. That sucks. Looks like something one of my customers woud do. Then ask why did that happen?
  9. I personally Like the Downpipe and 3" manderal bent exhaust for these cars. Even for a car that is not to far from stock. The reason is that any power that is gained is free in the sense that you are not driving the parts any harder to make more power ( such as an increase in boost). Also, until you get to crazy H.P. you won't have to upgrade it. You can't say that about to many parts. Is it mandatory to have with the above mentioned goals but, it sounds good and is very effective. Just my .02.
  10. I just knew she was going to really destroy the car.
  11. Mine ran great before it got taken down to do some mods to the rear end suspension, and the brakes all around. That went well so I thought I'll tear it down and paint it! That was two years ago. I get modivated and work on it alot then quit for weeks until I get the urge to drive it again. Maybe it will run next January??????
  12. Sounds good to me! I've got a decent grill but, my back yard is most mud right now from all the rain and the dog running around crazy in it! I'll even get the Z in primer so we can have someone teach us all the finer points of wet sanding. You know just for learing purpases. If it happens that my Z gets sanded down to perfection at the same time then all the better.
  13. I'll have to post a pic of mine. It's all smooth like yours is. I bought it at Courtesy Nissan when they were more into having neat items out on display.
  14. I've been going to do this for about 6 years now but, have never gotten around to it. Hopefully this summer I'll be doing the front of the car something like what you've done. I really think you've set the standard for this mod. Great job! Also I had this emblem on the front of my hod for about 6 years. It's the same as the 350Z emblem. Right? I think I'm going to have to copy the rear spoiler idea that Guy haas done. Not to be a copy cat but, it's actually done right and looks great!
  15. Guy, That spoiler is really looking good. I like the way to have it molded in. I was thinking about e-mailing you for pics then I found this post. I've got mine almost all sanded down. In the next few weeks I'm going to be primering it. Maybe it will back on the road in '07?
  16. I live in Forney which is just east of Dallas. I used to work in Ft. Worth, I really like the people and overall culture of the area. There are several Z car guys over on that side of town.
  17. Looks real good! Hopefully mine will look that good in a year or so.
  18. So does this go on the top? Is it applied directly to the area you are welding? I guess it would have to. How would you get it into the inside of the tube?
  19. If you click on the link in my signature you can find my page about the adapters that you may need. Also just so you know the 17x7.5's that I have are pretty tight in the front. The back have lots of room. If your really thinking about running coilovers now would be the time to do it. Coilovers in the front would really open up the options for you as far as rim choices go.
  20. I remember lurking for along time before I actually joined. It wasn't until the turbo/supercharger forum opened up that I joined. Glad to be here! I check it everyday for the last 6 years almost.
  21. I never seen one that was that color from the factory. I would try to do some fact finding and see how many were produced in that color. Do you have a link to the other one?
  22. It's Texas thing also, happened to me the other day at work. Nice thing was that I was able to call the guy on it and divert the negative attention back to him. Ha ha
  23. Thanks for the video. Looks like it's coming along great.
