Here's the stuff I use. PowerClean-Avalible at Autozone works good but, you have to scrub. Don't use on plastic. Carb Cleaner- Easy and avaible anywhere. I usally buy the cheap stuff and keep plenty onhand. Chemdip- Comes in a gallon can with a parts basket inside. Works well if you let parts sit in it for awhile. Horrible smell and will stink up everything including your house. The most effective stuff I've used for making bolts and stuff look new. Lacquar thinner- Works on all kinds of things. Don't use it anything that has paint on it unless you want it to come off. Acetone- I use this before welding parts and general cleaning for lots of things. I've used MEK before and I think that is the craziest stuff I've ever used.

I had a customer come in with one of these about a year ago. Just about emptied my store from all the people that went out to ask questions.

Funny! I was just talking to a guy on Monday about what a cool car the S2000 is but, it just has no torque! Now that he mentions it I think my 7 HP lawnmower that is self propelled does have more torque!

If you look at one of the pictures in your post about the Holset install you'll see that one of the pistons looked less than perfect. Looked to me like detonation had gotten the better of it a couple of times. I'm thinking possibly broken ring lands. What would a leak down test show us?

Greg has a great site but, it hasn't been updated in awhile as of the last time I checked. As a new member you need to do some searching to find some of the basic answers your lloking for. It's all there you just need to search. Welcome to the board. I always say this is the best site on the web.

I was once a Zcar.com guy and one day I just saw the light and came to Hybridz. The info and tone here is so much better. Plus the moderators do a fantastic job of keeping the trolls out no matter how many post they have or how much knowlegde they have.

I love that swap. I was thinking about getting a different daily driver the other day and ofcourse the 240SX came to mind. Now thats what I've got to have. By the way how about some more and better pics.

Those are some really impressive #'s. I really thought that much HP was not possible with the stock cam and head. That must be one hell of a turbo! Not to mention the tune you have one it. Great job!

Quite often the pullies can be swapped over to the other alternator very easily. If it doesn't fit then try a alternator rebuild shop and see if they have what you need. Most bigger cities have a place that specializes in this type of work.

I had something similar happen and thats why I go into welding my own stuff. Granted I still can't do aluminum But, I can do almost anything I'll ever need for my Z. Lets see some pics once you get it all back.
