  1. Or put your back up display on your sun visor. Flip down when needed.
  2. oldzdood, Take a 7 day break. When you return, you will be expected to honor forum rules and respect the membership.
  3. Too cool. Would it be worth bonding in an aluminum 'crush sleave' to protect them from over-tightened bolts?
  4. It would also be cool to use for a backup camera... for those winter day's when the rear window is still fogged up.
  5. Thanks guys. It should be entertaining.
  6. Keith, if this bothers you please holler and I’ll take it down. Build thread… http://www.locostusa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?uid=13638&f=35&t=14717&start=0 This one will finish out around 1500lbs. I am positive an LS powered ‘Sevenesque’ car could come in under 1350lbs. I’ve tracked one 7 clone and it was a very eye opening experience. There are damn few cars that can touch a well developed 7. And they nearly all cost more to build and campaign.
  7. What I always hope comes out of threads like these is... All of our members come from all walks of life. Different educations. Different financial backgrounds. Different needs. Different wants. Different goals. Different priorities, Different preferences. Different perceptions. Different ideals. And on and on and on. What should be taken from this is that no forum can accommodate all of you. We can’t and we won’t even try. Some will be happy, and some won’t. It’s life. Bitching about it because it doesn't meld with your perception of idealism is birdbrained. This staff tries to balance our own ideals with the membership the best we can. The result pleases a large percentage of our members, and leaves others cold. If the latter is you, deal with it. If it doesn't measure up to your standards, simply leave. You’re not a prisoner.
  8. We've been asking for years... http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/89218-locking-out-accounts-of-members-posting-without-a-location/
  9. You were suspended for your resistance towards the rules, and being expected to follow them. Your latest post isn’t any better. Last warning. Make an effort to follow forum rules, without disparaging the staff, or the suspension will be much longer.
  10. That just might be the sexiest 'car' I've ever seen. Looking forward to seeing the final product.

There are web sites available on the web that can translate text from many recognized official languages to English, if you don't know it. (But then how could you read this? ) Gangster-slang, or any other cute, obtuse, street-talk dialects are not tolerated. Write in clear English that does not require a current knowledge of the latest street-slang. Text message or IM shorthand does not qualify as English. Always try to use proper punctuation, spelling AND capitalization.5. This site is based in the USA, and as such, text is to be written in English. 12. Well, we haven't had that question asked eleventybillion times And ya know, it's really refreshing to have a DESCRIPTIVE subject title for a change. May the force be with you.
  13. I will never understand the logic of complaining about goods or services provided at no charge.
  14. If you can bring it all together I think it would be MARVELOUS!
  15. Can we not refer to this as IFS? Struts are IFS too. Thread title changed. Worth it? Only you can answer that. Building a Double-A Arm suspension is not trivial. It’s FAR easier to get it wrong than it is to get it right. Get it wrong and you’ve spent a large amount of blood and sweat for nothing… unless you just want the challenge of it or wow factor. Get it right, and even then, it will probably only be incrementally better than a well prepped set of struts. So the question is… are you capable of making an improvement, and if you are, will it be enough better to justify the effort? Or is it just to say “I did it”? Here is a copy of a discussion by a couple of our members…
  16. When I built mine I lined the motor up with the pinion flange of the diff. This worked fine for the common Sanderson headers.

  18. Keisler Engineering sells a reproduction 621 bellhousing for doing just that (about $260). It's shorter by about .400" to make up the input shaft differences. I believe they sell them for both mechanical clutch release as well as hydraulic. I've currently got my TKO bolted up to an LSx with one. I haven't settled on a hydraulic release yet (the LSx release won't work). Tilton and Quartermaster both make releases that I believe will work. Also, Quartermaster sells a bell for that purpose as well, but I don't have any info on it. Tube80z has one. You might PM him.
  19. jt1, please read this... http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/98611-posting-pictures-please-read/page__gopid__1014210#entry1014210
  20. Guy's, we've been asking for over a year and a half now. Times up. We're starting to delete super sized pictures. Please take a moment to size your pictures appropriately before posting. Thank you.
  21. I don't open and verify every picture posted on this forum. I'll see to it when I get a chance.
  22. I looked into using a T56 with these mounts. It would require more tunnel work than most people would probably want to deal with. JCI’s engine placement looks to be more realistic for use with a T56.
