  1. Everything seems reasonable now. I called Bilstein once again and got numbers very close to what rxsleeper and what I originally posted from the VW forum. I guess there was some miscommunication with the Bilstein rep. the first time. If you want exact numbers see post #302.
  2. I have his front 4 piston set. They're big and light with plenty of potential if set up properly. I think his 6 piston set is way more than the car will ever need.
  3. Did you take those measurments yourself? What were your measuring points? I contacted Bilstein and was given these specs for the P30-0032 Extended length 19.74'' Compressed length 13.98'' Body 12.52'' Stroke 5.76'' Edit: called Bilstein Rep again changed body length.
  4. It's just a black cylindrical shaped peice of rubber. Maybe about .75'' in diameter and .4'' height.
  5. That's good news i'm running spring rates in the lower 300's hoping maybe I wouldn't have to revalve. I'm replacing my blown older version 8610's and hoping that the Bilsteins have similar dimentions which means something around a 15'' body with 6'' stroke. Edit: I did some searching around in the VW rabbit forums for some specs on the Bilstein F4-P30-0032-MO and found some possible dimentions. Body length: 12.52'' Body diameter: 1.5'' Extended length: 20.12'' Compressed length: 13.86'' Stroke: 6.25'' Anyone want to confirm?
  6. You should find the info and pictures if you search my user name in the cooresponding section.
  7. I just got fone watching and noticed that also. Looks like some kind of brake cooling device.
  8. I couldn't find the exact info but, does anybody know the spring rate range when using the Bilstein P30-0032's? Also, anyone with these struts installed want to chime in on their performance?? Is the non- adjustable aspect a big downside?
  9. took the words straight out of my mouth. That's definatly not a part from the Z. Have fun out there!
  10. Thanks! There is about a 1/4 inch gap between the hood and front peice. I was thinking about sealing it up with some foam..? I got the brake ducts at www.pegasusautoracing.com
  11. Here's my version. I mocked it up kind of quick and didn't put too much thought into it so i'm open on any sugestions. I used to have a problem with my radiator cooling too fast but, now my water temps are much more stable at 75-85 celcius so I know i'm reducing the amount of air flow from the front. I used a 3x6 sheet of .06 aluminum and rivited it all together. I still need to seal everything up and finish the brake ducting before I do actual testing but here it is:
  12. I tried mounting the -19x 9.5 up front and it looked almost the same. However, I didn't check if it cleared everything without rubbing. If anyone is looking for a set of 4 Gunmetal 9.0 x -13 (fronts) i'm willing to trade my 9.0 x -13 for a pair of 9.5 x -19 (rears).
  13. I think the wheels look nice but, to me how they fit under the fenders is just as important. Some spacers might fix that.
