  1. Well, hopefully the redsign succesfully seperates the Z and G37 coupe. The G37 can be the grand tourer, and the Z the sport And I think it is lookin good too, the design seems to be much more tight.
  2. Head-on you really wouldn't know that it is a SX!!
  3. Does the electronic stability control, in the place of a LSD, pose any problems, or are the brakes capable of the torture?
  4. Plus, you can't always drive slow. I was on I-40 going from Vegas to Albuquerque, and I was actually kinda scared at times. There was a vicious cross wind, blowing the semis all over the place. And those trucks were doing 75-80. No way in heck I would let one pass me, the trailors were everywhere. I needed to get to Denver, and there was a storm on the way, so no stopping. So, I can't really imagine going ~55mph on an interstate, even in good weather. Too dangerous.
  5. Do you have any idea how your A/F's are? I remember reading an comparison several tuner cars, and a WRX by Crawford Performance had a specific tune for mileage that really lowered the A/F's, but a bit far, think they said there was some white some. . . Perhaps a special burn to help out with the mileage?
  6. I wonder how much they could pick up by replacing the honkin' huge light bars with some of the newer low profile, in-car ones.
  7. You have got to get some video of that !!!
  8. Oh dear, I hope Z's don't get to expensive because of this . . .
  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine#LS3 "The block is an updated version of the LS2 casting featuring a larger bore of 4.06 in creating a displacement of 6.2 L (376 in³), 0.2 L larger than the LS2. It also features higher flowing cylinder heads sourced from the L92, a more aggressive camshaft with 0.551" lift, a revised valvetrain with 6 mm offset intake rocker arms, a high-flow intake manifold and 47 lb/hr fuel injectors from the LS7 engine." More on Wikipedia, but it is sourced from LS2, not the LS7.
  10. Any good links on how to compare the cost of gold in different currencies? I lived in Germany when it switched to the Euro, and IIRC, it was a bit below a dollar per Euro. Now it is in the $1.50 range . . . And we are competing to buy oil with them, doesn't help when the dollar tanks like that.
  11. Anything more on what the engine is in it?
  12. My brother and I always run a tank of Chevron through with the extra Techron addative. Then warmed the cat up nice and hot with a good bit of driving, then dropped it off at the smog station. We try and schedule early in the morning so there isn't too much of a wait built up from delayings during the day. Hot cat helps alot! Or so we are told and now practice.
  13. That place looks awesome!! I wonder if you can rent a bay for a project or if you take it all back and forth.
  14. Anyone seen the previews of Adam Carolla in the US Top Gear? http://www.finalgear.com/ A bit down, two clips.
  15. I REALLY love the lines of the early Vettes. Sometimes I wonder what would have been if Chevy had made a performance I6 for it, OHC or DOHC. That 300SL isn't too shaby either!
  16. 150,000 in the car!!! Totally crazy!! But with that power curve, I bet it would be livable on the street.
  17. That High Impulse Weapon System sure is interesing, says 76mm round, wonder what weight on the round / charge. Perhaps direct fire motor round? Modern rocket systems can be fired in rooms, the backblast used to make that a deathwish. This would be alot cheaper and easier to supply than one use disposable rockets. Can't imagine that the Metal Storm system would be used in such large formations without a better rearming system. Hand loading each barrel on a 24 round launcher, makes more sense to just use a battery of normal automatic grendade launchers adapted to be used in a more accurate system. Very awesome though!!
  18. Wow, that is a really good deal! What year / model is it? And how did you get it for just a grand??? I've been kicking around the idea of getting a bike, but my sedentary job combined with school - both full time - has put me into the largest of my life, 260lb. GRRRR. And I used to ride my bike [bicycle:P] to school and just about everywhere from middle school up through high school. Then I got jobs and started college.
  19. What is so good about the I4 diesel Isuzu's? Without a turbo it would seem that they wouldn't have enough umf for such a vehicle. MPG? That good?
  20. So anyone can register, show up, and get to drive said BMWs? I drive a beat Honda quite a bit to work and school, so it looks even worse . . . I presume you would need to show up in at least a decent vehicle? Registration isn't open until the end of the month for my area, Sacramento, and I don't feel like entering far off cities zip code to see what all is included in the registration.
  21. Ah, but what if you already have the 911? Kinda doubt that the Bandit T/A's are aimed at someone who is very worried about which cars to put his 100K of discretionary spending into.
  22. Hehe, should have blocked the valve cover.
  23. Man, those suckers age huge!! Wonder how much fish they eat. Wonder how many we could cull safely and improve the fish [salmon especially] runs. Not to be cruel, but man, those guys are huge and must take tons per day!!
  24. Uh, how exactly do you make biodiesel for so cheap??
