I took the dash to a car interior shop. They are going to cover it. I'll post pictures once it is finished. Crossing my fingers that it comes out right.

Well I just gave a deposit at a place in my town in NC to have the dash covered like this: I hope it comes out good. They are even going to make stitching that says Datsun 280Z on it over the glove compartment area. The estimate was $300 I hope it doesn't go too much higher.

It's not cheap, but if you plan on doing other things, like set your speedo, tire size, turn off the o2 sensors, torque, etc etc. It might be worth it. Also on EBAY there were people doing it for about 50.00 plus shipping.

Wow I like his conversion kit for 100.00 . I might go ahead a get that, then I can just do it myself. I hope everything works out for you by the way....

I gave him mine too. Must be to make sure you get the correct trans crossmember. I know they are different for different years.

My son bought his Z when he was 15 years old for 1800. Saved his money while working at a Winn-Dixie grocery store. He drove it while we did "minor" fixes until he went into the Naval Academy. Now we are going at it with a "HybridZ" www.4moores.com/280z I say GO FOR IT.

Floor boards, rear hatch, part in the back under the rear hatch, dog leg, rocker panels, battery tray, front cross members, everywhere else. Most can be fixed. Double check the rails, if they are bad, then, ugh.....

I had my brake booster "blader" go bad, did the same thing.

I don't feel like you were taking a shot at us (TriadZClub) I was first amazed that someone from our small club would do that. Every one I know in our club is outstanding and helpful. EVERYONE!! I just heard from our clubs president. John has never been a member of our the Triad Z Club. He doesn't really know him. I also asked a couple of other long term members, they dont know of him either. Maybe part of the Raligh club?
