  1. Yeah, I'm still looking for a 3.36 R200. Anyone got one? I'm also curious about feedback on the power brute. I may end up going this route with a 3.54 in the future.
  2. Was that a regular nissan tranny or the T5?
  3. Hahaha...that's happened to me in my old Z. No fire trucks though.
  4. Thanks for all the great advice. Lots of points I haven't thought of yet. I'll definately have to take some time to consider everything. The townhome is only 2 years old and very close to downtown San Jose. It's a 3 bedroom so it would appeal to families with small children but it may also appeal to a lot of the young professionals in the area since it pretty contemporary in design. I may sell next summer unless the market somehow gets really bad for sellers. Tough coice on the flooring. Then I have to figure out paint
  5. I just tore out my carpet and i'm ready to do the flooring. I was set on putting in laminate but starting wondering if it would hurt resale. Do you think it maters if the floor is laminate and not real hardwood floors. Which would bring more return on investment? I'm planning on doing the whole bottom floor of my townhome.
  6. Series one interior pieces like the ashtray and center console. 240z bumpers. Let me know if you find an ashtray
  7. Terry, I got my 240zg and hakosuka last week. Thanks a lot
  8. Thanks for the link. Looks like an excellent filter. Most likely I'll be going with this 10 micron filter from summit. The price is right and I don't have to buy any adapters.
  9. Just wondering what you turbo guys are running for a fuel filter. Right now I have an in-line fuel filter with a mesh screen element. I want to replace it with a paper element type in-line filter. Any recomendations?
  10. Well Garrett just made 418rwhp with the stock head so based on your sig, C) plus E) IC and maybe F) methanol
  11. Posted in SF Bay Area craigslist. Not mine, just passing the info. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/car/203297840.html
  12. Thanks for the offer Ron but most likely I'll be going with a g-nose.
  13. Wasn't me but I've been wanting to take a drive up there. Hey Ron, car look familiar?
  14. Last week I was gonna have the car dynoed to get some baseline numbers. On the way to the shop, I blew a few hoses at 15psi so i rescheduled for the next week. Went to the local industrial hose and fitting place and picked up a bunch of t-bolt clamp. I ended up getting a discount on them after talking z-cars with the sales guy . Installed all the clamps and had the car dialed in at 12psi. AFR was in the 12s so I was good to go. On the way to the shop this morning, I did a few WOT run just to make sure everything was good and now it's spiking past 16 psi and falling flat on it's face after that. Took a look at the fuel numbers and it was dumping in way too much fuel past 16psi. Good thing I set it up that way to be safe. Scared the crap out of me too cause the first time there was a huge backfire. Fixed the fuel numbers too see if it would hold at 16psi but it would now spike to 18psi. Wierd because it would hold steady at 12psi the day before. I'll have to see whats going on with the boost controler and try again next week Sorry about the long post. I had to vent.
  15. I think it's the wording of the description plus the guys feedback thats turning people off. It's also a 260Z not a 240Z.
  16. I second that. Any pics of the radiator / IC setup. Car looks very well done.
  17. John - from what I have read in the past, the N42 block is completely siamesed between the bores. No cutout for water passages so there is more material between cylinders. Offset boring is done to ensure even cylinder wall thickness for all cylinders. I agree with all the arguments against the 3.1 turbo build. I really had no plans to do this build. I just wanted to see if anyone has done this successfully in the past since I do have the pistons. I think it can be done but it's just too much time, money, and effort than I want.
  18. If anyones interested, I'll probably be selling my 89mm Arias forged pistons soon. They are dished for a 3.1 turbo.
  19. I wonder what rods these pistons were designed for. Pin height is 27.8mm. I guess I could try and get custom 138.5mm rods with the LD28 crank or use the stock crank with custom rods and mill the block. Seems like if I go with these pistons I'll fall into the while I'm at it trap. Anyone know who makes L-series rods longer than the 240Z rods?
  20. Just picked up a new set of Arias forged pistons because I got a smokin' deal on them. P/N is 320980. This is supposed to be for a L-31et so the bore is 89mm. Has anyone ever used these pistons in their turbo motor? I'm not sure if I should use them for my built motor or try and sell them and get pistons for a smaller bore. I'm a little wary of boring the block to 89mm.
  21. I've had both and I think it comes down to personal preference. I loved driving the V8 Z around town but I just like the feel, sounds, and tunability of the turbo motor. If you know anyone with a V8 or turbo swap, take a ride or ask if you can take a test drive so you can make your decision. You should be able to pull off either swap. The V8 swap may take longer because of the bolt in nature of the turbo swap.
  22. Thats a good sized roach. I bet they smoked it
