  1. You need all 4 correct? Pretty sure I have a set, if not can pull them from the 77 parts car I've been stripping...
  2. Actually yesterday but ran short on time to post. Anyway, it was sunny and fairly warm [60's] for upstate NY weather this time of year. Decided it was time to put the z into winter hibernation, put a few ounces of Sta-Bil in the tank but needed that to get to the fuel injectors so...I took her for a spirited rip around town, mostly 1-3 gears. An LSx powered z is so fun it should be illegal! After the rip washed, waxed, covered and tucked her away for the winter-see you again in the spring!
  3. Have one from a 77, top is rusty but in tank portion looks nice. Email me for pic, palermodavid13@gmail.com [tried to pm but said not accepting or something like that].
  4. Have a 72/73 wheel with horn pad, email me and I'll provide pic. palermodavid13@gmail.com
  5. Way cool-what side skirts are those?
  6. Hawk HPS / HP+, i've run both on the street and at Watkins Glen International [WGI]. I'll assign them each a number, 1 is worst, 10 best as compared to generic street pads Generic / HPS / HP+ Cold Bite: 10 / 8 / 6 Dusting: 10 / 7 / 2 [lots of dust] Fade: 1 [lots at temp] / 6 [at temp] / 10 [none] Stopping performance [cold]: 10 / 8 / 6 Stopping performance [at temp]: 3 / 5 / 8 Pedal effort vs. brake force 10 / 8 / 6 Other Comments-threw in a set of generic pads for a 40 min session [my HP+ were gone and another guy gave me the generics] and went through them in the session. Also tried HPS, gone in a day [4x40 min sessions] decent until they got really warm then started to go away. HP+ are decent on the street but not optimum, don't take too long to warm up and exhibit zero fade. They do blacken my wheels with dust and don't have as much bite as i'd like or brake force as I'd like. Ran CHUMPCAR a few weeks ago and the Subie was stocked with some expensive Raybestos pads which were amazing - no warm up, great initial bite, minimal wear and not too much dust. They didn't seem to beat up the rotors much either [sT-43 is the part number].
  7. Sometimes, if you're lucky, the code can be found on a small piece of white paper stuck to the inside of the glovebox lid. Most time though they're illegible due to the years.
  8. Screws to join the two halves-hardware store, take the cover and a #2 phillips with you and test fit them. Machine screws are oddball size, try the same, taking the ignition assembly [if you're able to easily remove it from the car]. My 2 cents.
  9. BW 5 speed, if you could verify; condition, miles, etc. could bring in the 350-400 range. Without all that, $150-200?
  10. Here is a pic of regulators. Depending on when during the year the 260 was built [i believe] determines which regulator you'll need, 240 or 280. Left to right, 240, 280, 240 [replated] You can see the spread or length between holes for mounting the 280 regulator is longer and the crank orientation is a bit deeper. In addition the arms are more stout [thicker metal and somewhat wider]. Measure the distance [your door] between the mounting holes [longest span]. For 240z ~4", 280z ~4 7/8".
  11. PM'd, have seat rails-brackets from the 77 I'm currently parting.
  12. I have a 77 wheel & horn pad if that is the year/range you're looking for.
  13. I have one of each, 280 and 240. PM me.
  14. Glad to hear you're ok Matt! Following for updates and the improvements you'll incorporate on the Z. David
  15. Is that a tail of an AMC Hornet I spy with my little eye?!
  16. I have a pair, 77, nice except for po cut speaker holes... Let me know if you're interested. David
  17. Patches on [sorry it took me soooo long to post the pix]. Found an old Goodyear [like Newman] in my collection, patch from the shop I worked back in the late 80's as a formula continental crew chief [bRD, Buenting Racing & Development], a Vintage Races patch from Watkins Glen and had my name, dob & blood type just in case.. Love the giant Datsun patch, thanks again!
  18. Still have the pair pulled from the 77 I have, rubbers & all...
  19. What year z and do you need all the knobs or just specific ones?
  20. Jim, I have seat belt set from a 77 280z available which would allow you to upgrade to retractable shoulder harnesses as well. Click here, post #18
