  1. Auction Ended at a C-note and change. Was everyone napping on friday afternoon? http://offer.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws3/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=2466748854 I wonder if I could put a Nissan 6 speed trans in my Mustang? Would that make it a MuZtanbrid?
  2. Offered with disclaimer: I Saw the spacers advertised on eBay (Juan?) with this information in the ad:
  3. Seller in Irving, Texas - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2466748854 Currently $10. (Saturday Morning) Sounds like he has several for sale. Also mentions the 3rd gear synchro problems.
  4. I thought the 240 - 280Z transmission has a one-piece case with a built-in bellhousing Which part is he machining? a 280ZXT T-5 bell?
  5. The 351M engine bolt pattern is the same as 429-460 Big Block, so the selection of factory transmissions is limited to the C-6 automatic. If you want a manual trans, then you are looking into a custom balanced flywheel, and aftermarket bellhousing, possibly drilling the pilot bushing hole in the crankshaft...............

  7. Joe Dirt Counterman @ Billy Bob's auto repair: "Your Triumph Spitfire won't pass inspection because the catalytic converter has been removed and replaced with a straight piece of pipe." Me: "No, the exhaust system is all stock and original, the catalytic converter is there, look inside the engine compartment, bolted to the manifold." JD: "Oh. Well, it still failed inspection because your horn isn't loud enough." "And when you come to pick it up, bring a couple of new lug nuts because we stripped yours off with the impact gun and we don't have any that will fit your car." <bang> (hang up phone) Me: "Knuckle dragging, toothless, feces-for-brains was playing Johnny NASCAR pit crew today" My Wife: "Please stop kicking the wall and go get your car."
  8. What is left in the HF kit that is worthwhile after your replace the hose and "T"?
  9. Going to look at a donor next week. '93 Mustang 5L / 5speed with 80K miles. 1/4 mile at a time?
  10. Reminds me of this event: College Republicans’ ‘Affirmative Action’ Bake Sale Greeted with Smiles, Jeers by Timothy Nuter Hurling forth slogans such as “make the Keebler Elf work for equality†and “whites and Asians have been privileged for too long,†the Penn College Republicans made their presence felt on Locust Walk last week at their “affirmative action bake sale.†Following the lead of CR organizations around the nation, Penn’s CRs sold baked goods priced according to consumers’ race and gender. Attempting to mimic the racial preference structure of college admissions, homemade brownies and cookies were sold to black, Hispanic, and Native American women for 50 cents; to their male counterparts for 75 cents; to white women for $1; and to white men and all Asians and Indians for $1.50. The event was intended to “loudly express our belief that race-based admissions policies are unconstitutional and un-American,†according to College Republicans Chairman David Copley.
  11. "Tom Nalle designed and built a conversion kit to transform Datsun 240Z sports cars into a quasi-replica of the Cobra Daytona Coupe. The kit consisted of a set of fiberglass panels that were attached to the Datsun body. Datsun running gear could be used or an engine swap was available to fit a Ford 302 under the hood. Nalle was located in Richmond, Virginia." -Harold Pace page 151 of - The Big Guide to Kit and Specialty Cars Maybe R/T means "Road and Track", meaning a dual-purpose car. Real Shelby GT350s used the notations S or R Street or Race.
  12. Also the bushing isn't centered, the middle "tube" sticks out farther to the back. You can't swap a complete arm from right side to left side without pressing in the bushing facing the right way.
  13. Those "African Prince in Exile" offers always reminds me of John Belushi, doing a Monty Python rip-off on SNL: "I would like to feed your fingertips to the wolverines."
  14. Not a whole lot of shared experience on this swap, some musings and theories recently..... http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30050
  15. Was walking through the parking lot a few months back, thinking of a source for Ferrari and Cobra inspired fender side vents. Came across these - can you guess their origin? Propped them up against the fender with a bit of "handyman's secret weapon", I think they need to go lower, but the trim strip is in the way on this car.
  16. Update! My faith in humanity is restored. Hopefully this seller's conscience, or the 2 PAYPAL and EBAY receipts I forwarded to him, got him motivated and I got the package in the mail last week - Only 2 months after payment was made.
  17. Similar to your description, Lenses (only) for '63 & '64 Chevrolets on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2456760960&category=10076 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2456760715&category=10076
  18. Here is a 1997 Camaro V6 (I'm guessing a 3.4L??) Bellhousing. It has a Ford B&W T-5 transmission bolt pattern and BOP 90-deg engine bolt pattern. The length of the input shaft for the Camaro V6 T-5 trans is 182.1mm, the Ford T-5 trans input shaft is very close at 182.6mm. If you added any more spacers between the engine block and trans, I don't know if the input shaft whould reach to the pilot bearing. One option is the Mustang 3.8L V6 T-5. It has a longer input shaft at 199.9mm. Gives you about 5/8" more reach.
  19. You might make a pretty good offset of your investment if you wanted to sell the G nose parts.
  20. My chemistry professor said that if you rub peanut butter and jelly on a white lab rat it would get cancer.
  21. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2456482554&category=33616 It's on EBAY JFYI but not advertising here.... Never seen one like this before. Looks light duty and home made, but something that might allow more firewall clearance.
  22. Macintosh with Apple/MAC OS 10 here at home..... but running MS IE, because many sites like my bank and HybridZ are not Navigator friendly. IE uses half the memory that NN requires as well.
  23. Here is a home made bender that looks like the HF machine. His dies might support the tube better.
