  1. Since my notes are a bit cryptic I wanted to draw out an actuall diagram so that everyone can understand it, making it as EZ as possible...har har. demand is high though so here they are! "Starting with the left switch (turn signal & brights) Switch Harness Green ---> Purple 25 turn flasher Green/blk ----> Green 26 Horn switch White/Red ----> connect to 3 wires: Blue: 21 R rear turn 16 R signal ind. 17 R front turn White/Blk -----> Connect to 3 wires: Blue 14 Left signal indicator light blue 15 Left front signal yellow 20 Left rear signal Red/white -----> connect to 2 wires: Green 28 Left high beam Green 73 high beam indicator Red/Yellow -----> Light brown 24 Left low beam ****The previous ground goes to the White/Red of the head light control. Head light control switch: Green/white ---------> connect to 2 wires brown 48 Left front park ? ? Left rear park Green/Blue --------> Red 33 Switch power *** note the red 33 splits into red and black, Connect black side to Green/Blue Red ---------> Red 01 headlight power Ignition Switch Blue/Red ---------> Peach 31 Ignition switch acc Brown 29 Ignition Switch Black/blue ---------> Purple 32 Ignition switch start Black/White ---------> Pink 30 Ignition switch coil White/Red --------> 33 red ** this connects to the red side of the above note. So thats its, It should be a good start, just be sure to keep your multimeter out and check continuity in the switch as you wire things in. It can be a bit intimidating, but its really EZ...and if you do wire something wrong, the fuses will most likely blow when you connect the battery! "
  2. Just a thought, But could you extrude hone the water passages to increase surface area within them? more surface area along with higher pressure may be enough of a cure for some, it would certainly minimize the engineering and plumbing aspect of other solutions.
  3. I used a cut off wheel for the longest time until I just broke down and bought a "Cable Cutter" from home depot. It is infinitely better than using the cut-off wheel...less noise and less dust, just tape the line and cut. When you tape use something thats braided or reinforced in some way, packing tape, duct tape, etc. If you use something soft or stretchy the ends of the hose will fray anyway. if your going to be doing lots of work with AN fittings buy a set of AN wrenches, they will keep your fittings from being marked and knicked up by using a regular steel wrenches, and they help prevent over-tightening by being really uncomfortable in the hands.
  4. A member here has a set of CCW classic on his Z and they look fantastic. If I didnt just buy a set of new wheels I would have been all over these... Sadly I dont need another set of wheels.
  5. Doh! these wheels are still for sale! Somebody here should grab these.
  6. What colour is that?! its incredible! Just bought these: Been looking for a set of new wheels for a long time, kept flip/flopping on size and looks...finally bought a set that I've been longing for since I first saw them on a Zed. While I'm at it, five lug conversion time!!!! and big brakes and new brake lines and the CV conversion and and and.... sigh.
  7. Lol, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the pictures!
  8. Yes, it will still seal, it's purely cosmetic as far as I can tell. The only problem you will have is the fact that the gasket has a shallow channel and lip to hold the trim in so that will still be visible. I suppose you could go at with an exacto and try and cut it off but that seems like sure fire way to destroy the gasket. Your best bet is to powdercoat or paint the trim flat black to match the gasket. most people wont even notice.
  9. Thats not too bad of a deal at all, good luck with the new project, looking forward to some updates!
  10. NO!!!!!! Don't do it Stony! I've been looking forward to seeing your car on the track and thought for sure that you were going to make it! That last picture is just awesome, stick through it man!
  11. very cool, keep us posted on your progress!
  12. They will restore RHD dashes, and even recover custom dashes should you want to add a few gauges or something similar, be prepared to spend 600$ for their services (the Australian company).
  13. It wasnt just the noise, It was the fact that it was constantly failing and being sent back for repair. First it started running backwards...no biggie I guess...just swap the ground for +. Then it would pump at all, just make this god awful screatching noise. Leaking housings, seperating magnets on the motor, blah blah blah. Multiple rounds of repairs followed by new and fascinating problems led me to declare it a hunk of crap. Race pump or not, for 300+ dollars I better get more than 200 miles from it.
  14. http://forums.hybridz.org/member.php?u=19069 SunMaster is from S.A. He has the L series swapped into a E30 BMW.
  15. I've looked at getting one of these for my 240Z and wrote several ebay vendors looking for just the right size. Each one of them responded that they could get one in any size...all I had to do was specify at the time of order. I'm pretty sure that these are extrusions and are cut either to order, or in batches of the most common sizes.
  16. Is the glove box intact? I would like it if it is. thanks. Edit: oh, also maybe even the qtr windows...just the glass. as long as they are not scratched up.
  17. I used to have the A1000 pump and must say it was the biggest hunk of aluminium crap I've ever had. I double isolated if with rubber mounts and you could still hear it over the straight DP. I went with the big walbro pump with AN adapters and she works great....It's still double isolated like the old pump...but the new one is whisper quiet....its amazing! check Ebay for walbro pumps with the AN adapters.
  18. PM sent, still awaiting some details on exact location but will let you know, Thanks!!!
  19. That car looks really familiar, Hope he's alright.
  20. I'm looking at a set of wheels in the LA area but the guy wants 300$ to ship them to me. I'm looking for someone that would be willing to pick them up and throw them on a greyhound, maybe even exchange the cash for them. So if your trustworthy, and an upstanding member of the hybridz community please chime in here. A huge thanks in adance, even if it doesnt work out!
  21. The metal recycler here gave me 120$ for a cut up volvo wagon (minus the fenders, doors, and hatch. not bad if you ask me.
