I would say get he back of the car on jack stands. use a jack to move the suspension up and down and rotate the wheel at the same time. maybe move the suspension up from full droop at 1" increments to see/feel if there is any binding or knocking in the axle?

Yes, with some add ons. Blower will be added in 12 months after the install. I am currently working to get the drivetrain in order. I have already redone the factory seats. The interior is completed. There will be Speedhut gauges in the interior. No stereo, plans for A/C but I want the mechanical issues taken care of first.

Well another GAME changer.... all L-series stuff has been sold...... I am doing a conversion.......it has been settled.......parts are being purchased...

I want the whole back half with everything.... I need to do a full conversion and would like to pull something all together. I have thought about stopping by some of the places there off of Shepherd and 45/hardy... I just don't know how good they are

What side of town are you on? I am in the beginning stages of a LS conversion...... ( yes I sold off all of my L-series motors and turbos) I wanted to buy this car but you beat me to it...good to see it local. I will keep an eye on what you do as it will effect me directly. Good looking set up. Not much of a blog.... pics are teasers.... should be more info on there.....

I have a fully built L24 with e31 head, racer Brown cam, Arias custom pistons.... o-ringed head. It had my turbo tom kit on it with meth and nos. Pm me if you want it or more info. I can provide all info i have including the original cam card.

N42 block, N42 head, Schnider cam, balanced lightened crank, little head work, Roto-master turbo, Dual injector factory manifold. I will be installing the 5 speed that was with this set up. Until I grenade it. Then I will swap to a Z32 as I have the A.Hoke kit sitting by. I will also be installing a R200 LSD unit that I picked up. I will be changing the ignition system to be coil on plug, as well as MS3. I have a whole new gauge set up that will all be Speed Hut..... I have been saving up for these changes. The original seats have been recovered and I have added black suede diamond tuck patterns in the centers. I will be picking those up tomorrow if I have time after work. I will also be changing over all of the interior vinyl to a black suede with diamond tuck pattern in the near future. After I get all of this done I will be going after the brakes and suspension. Still lots left to do.

Well I have a new to me motor... I am going through it in the coming weeks. Sending parts off to get coated or color. I have numerous changes coming with the set up as well.

The previous owner bought a 911turbo and the Z sat on the shelf after that....... have been talking with him about buying his 911 from him in the coming years.

That is what I thought. I talked with the p/o and it turns out that he sent the manifold off to Corky Bell years ago and had it modified by him. So one would think between Corky and the P/o that something would not leave his shop with his name on it without it being a good piece. I plan on having MS3 installed on the car to control everything. Precision Ball bearing turbo I will change out the fuel rails and injectors to be of the o-ring variety...... I am also changing to a coil on plug sequincial ignition. So no dizzy for me! I will go with how the motor is set up now but a few changes to accomodate for modern technology. The motor was doing very low 12sec passes in a 280Z back in the day.
