  1. Just get a 5.3, or a 6.0 LQ out of a Chevy or GMC truck. They are basically a LS engine with an iron block instead of an aluminum one. You can find them alot cheaper than the LS engines. Yank the tall LQ intake off, and put an aftermarket FAST or similar LS6 intake on it.
  2. That is great. Customer service is sooo important, some companies don't get it. Glad to see Edelbrock supports their stuff.
  3. Sad to see you leave. I haven't been on here very long, but in that short time, I have read alot of your posts. All of them were of sound advice, and great all around reading. Some people, just plain SUCK! I hope you reconsider. I would also like to see the responsible people banned. This is a great site! Just because they flew under the radar to attack you, doesn't make it OK.
  4. Looks great! Can't wait to see some better pics in the sun.
  5. Very cool indeed! I am also curious as to how you will plum it all together. Nice!
  6. late model VW cars. Those are the ones I'll be using.
  7. How big of a spacer is required? Did you get them straight from Rota? I was hoping that a spacer wouldn't be needed in the +04 offset. I will be getting the 16x8's or the 17x8.5's in the hyper black. That is, if they ever get around to making them in those sizes.
  8. Diesels are a totaly different animal. Just go look at all the high tech new turbodiesel pickup truck tachs. You will see the redline at 3000-4500 Max. Typically they are generating full boost at 1000-1500 RPM's. They are also making huge torque, and good HP. The power output over the last 10 years has gone way up, but the RPM range has stayed the same. If the key to making more power ot of them was to turn Higher RPM's. Then why hasn't that been done? IMO they way to make power is more air (boost) and more fuel, not higher revs. JMO
  9. Ouch! Hope that is a typo. $1400-1500 sounds overly steep to me.
  10. Yes, lets see them on the car!
  11. All you have to do to remove anything with the double sided tape, is take a heat gun to them. The heat softens up the adhesive.
  12. Early 74 (11/73) 260Z. She needs alot of work, but she is mine, and I love her!
  13. I realy like 16's on the S30's. 15's are better than 14's for sure!
  14. I like the idea of the model specific forums, but as said earlier, what goes here that there isn't already a sub forum for?
  15. If the previous plugs were the correct heat range, then you may have something else wrong. Could be the jetting/carb adjustments are too rich. A rich running engine will cause sparkplugs of any brand to fail prematurely. Some plugs are better at resisting it though. A bandaid fix is to get the next step hotter plug, but the right way, is to tune the carbs. Also if you are indeed rich, there is some potential power to be gained by tuning them correctly.
  16. Build a stout driver, that is capable at the track. That way you can enjoy it more often. You can't just hop in an all out drag car, and go cruisin' on a hot summer evening.
  17. Z06! The power is excellent in stock form, and can always be added to. I am a Z car lover, but the Z06 spanks the 350Z that I drove, and not by just a little.
  18. Great! I'll be needing one someday, that is if I ever get that far on my car.
  19. I would be interested in the Engine/tranny, and for that price, I would even drive to Colorado Springs to pick it up.
