  1. The TTT arms definitely look better constructed. The Z-force sales pitch of a "true A arm" means little to me. It looks like a few more forces at work.
  2. Those are bitchin sweet! Lots or real estate left for making some adjustable sway bars. The only thing I dont like is they dont tell you the type of steel used on these. At least the other company states they are chromoly.
  3. There's a ton of info there. I didn't think Id get this kind of a response. I wouldn't know the first thing about figuring out harmonics for the best VE. Not that I wouldn't like to learn. I have a limited grasp of what air does going from idle to red-line at this time. I did find the stock diameter for a late E88 was roughly 1.25" and there's 6061 tubing 1.25 ID with .25" wall. Should be plenty of good meat for tapering. Im going to ask a buddy in the tool and die room if he could taper these with 1.25" to get it close enough to the head for port matching and 1.50"/1.57" depending on the diameter of the throttle body I use. There's alot of choices on Ebay for motorcycle ITB's. I wish I could make my own TB but I only have a Mini-lathe, no mill. Nothing is set in stone. Still need to cast the flange that bolts to the head. Find with TB's I want to use and select the tubing. This is a Inch/mm conversion chart I have bookmarked. Comes in handy for quick reference. http://mdmetric.com/tech/cvtcht.htm
  4. I've taken up aluminum casting for a hobby and Im trying my hand at making an ITB setup for an L. Casting small pieces machining them and using tubing available on-line. A friend does AL welding so it works out. My question being; How big do I make the ID of my runner? I had no idea I had four choices between 1.63" and 1.5" and even a 1.25" readily available. Being made from 6061 tubing. I'm just looking for un-restricting a little air for a street car possibly or at the very least adding the ITB rumble they have, just thought it was a cool idea. Hoping I could get an opinion on this from somebody in the know. Thanks
  5. I went to the link. Didn't see anything that said they where no longer available, but I didn't fill the form out either. I just might, once my V8 car is out of the garage.
  6. Oh C'mon you can SEE what he did... And to Jeffrox. What I did was put my FPR just near the hood latch and run my pressure line to the front of the fuel rail instead. I have like 8" of hose? But im sure its not a huge deal unless your running on the razors edge of performance.
  7. I wish people would be more clear when posting...
  8. Is the transverse link the big boomerang that the control arms attach to? Iv got one that just recently got pulled from a 83 ZXT. Let me know if that is in fact what you need.
  9. I sell parts on here quite often. I would love the ability to delete my own listings. I assume we (non admins) are locked out of doing this on our own. Is there a way I could report my own listing for deletion? I do not want to cause excess work for the admins here. Thanks
  10. I wonder why someone would ship an engine that far to get rebuild rather than just paying a fine shop in the states to do it? I hope that's a lie.. lol
  11. http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/2864026513.html Got to laugh at this one... How much HP does it take to push a Z to 160mph? lol
  12. Sounds exciting. Your right as its not a solvent or a cleanser to a tank. Just a displacer of oxygen in gas form. As my rule of thumb I try to keep it as full as possible to avoid any WHOOSHING.
  13. What kind of car are you working on?
  14. I would think any welder would do what I do. Fill the tank with water and weld away. Find a 75-76 gas tank and get the straps with it. Then your good to go.
  15. What gear ratio? And are you running half shafts or CV axles? I assume half shafts. Both use companion flanges to mount up to the stub axle.
  16. There is no such thing as a single “1980-84" Maxima bracket. There was an 1981 bracket (which you can use with the 1979-81 280ZX rear caliper) and a 1982-83 bracket (which you use with the 1982-83 280ZX rear caliper). The 1984 Maxima rear brackets were welded on. BTW, the 1985-88 Maxima rear bracket is flat and requires modifications (welding and re-drilling) to use. I found this from Zcarnut on here. First time I found something I wanted using the search feature on here... You mention the 86 specifically. Is that the brackets you have? Here's the link: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/31419-85-88-maxima-calipers-w-82-83-280zx-rotors/
  17. I have seen many different types of vacuum cans on 280zx distributors but from what I can remember they all mounted the same. Im almost certain they mount the same internally from 79-83 glwsearch
  18. Can you use short hat or tall hat 280zx calipers?
  19. +1 Its not hard to do. read the instructions a few times. go through your parts and make sure there complete. then head into it one step at a time.
  20. Your looking for an 81-83 T3 Turbo. If you don't have exhaust figured out yet you can even use some from the 300zx before they went to a t25. Good luck with the search.
  21. Whatz up Hugh? I sold you that tank a while back and meant to bring the straps with me, but forgot at the time. I still have em sitting on the shelf. If your back on the road yet your welcome to come get them. Im out in Gresham. 162nd area.
