  1. any chance on running a few extra sets off? I'm ♥♥♥♥ poor till the summer as I'm supporting my significant other through school currently paying all the bills. I'd definatly take a pair later on say mid 07. Keep up the great work!
  2. on my 78 280z the speedo cable goes from the back of the gauge all the way to the tranny... one solid cable. I would assume the 240 is the same way.
  3. is it broken and just not reading? or reading higher or lower?
  4. that's a pretty sweet system till i searched for the price tag. Did you really pay 2k for that? Looks like it'd be fun and easy to play with though.
  5. I agree.. don't use sand.. I made that mistake... I got lucky and didn't warp anything but I'm still finding sand in that car 4 years later! I'm going to try soda blasting on it next time.
  6. lol sounds like the garage at my parents... my Z parts have taken over the attick, shelves, floor, everything lol.
  7. going with the 350z thing... I wish they made one as a targa or t-top instead of a convertible!
  8. so do either of you know what i'm talking about?
  9. my fronts lock up pretty easy with stock brakes. installed an 83zx master cylinder and I run green stuff pads. I used to wear 17" all round and I could lock them if I needed too. My rears wouldn't lock, but that's because one of the mechanisms for the rear was worn down.
  10. Age:21 Single/Married:single Car:78 280z Infractions:exhibition of accerlation and unsafe lane change (record is clear though) Location:Houston,TX Provider:USAA Coverage:Liability with state limits Cost: $/month 165/month for primary driver Car:95 240sx Infractions:none yet Location:Houston,TX Provider:State Farm Coverage:Everything except comprehensive Cost: $/month 89/month USAA wanted way too much money so my Z sits with no insurance for now. It's going to go on classic car insurance with State Farm probably next summer so that I can full coverage on it with a low monthly.
  11. if you go gunmetal be a baller and throw the bronze on.
  12. yup.... Wax lol. I believe they make sealers that you can buy to buff on... should act similar to a clear coat.
  13. I saw this years back and i can't find it now. It was a cartoon kinda thing of a Z and a guy in Japan I guess... tunes it up fixes it up then hits the streets, it was pretty sweet and I'd like to keep a copy on my drive.
  14. if you go audio color go bronze. That lime green is ugh... interesting more like a yellow so i would say silver since you seem to not like the way the black blends w/ the tire.
  15. Looks awesome... just one question. With all the work you obviously put into it... how you come you left the tail lights in when you sprayed? Very nice paint job though, looks good!
  16. Try a bright blue and adding a little green to it till you get a shade you like... however when I sprayed that color... it looks nothing like it while wet... and after clear it chaged a little as well... very odd color.
  17. just wanted to clarify Brightside is a type of Interlux boant paint. Rustoleum has rust stop, proffesional, etc. Interlux has perfection, brightside, toplac, etc. The brightside is a polyurethane. Also it is more to the tune of 22 bucks a quart and around 66 a gallon. The best price I've found on this paint is at http://www.boatersland.com I'm currently painting a boat with interlux brightside. The paint is some tuff stuff though and about a year back I bought two quarts of gloss black for the Z still have yet to put it on my car.
  18. It reminds me alot of the cars my father used to paint with the older lacquer paint. Sand it flat and smooth and buff till it looks like glass.
  19. holly rustoleum here I come That is amazing from 8$ paint.
  20. I tried dupli-color paint and I don't suggest it. Was like 4 bucks for the can... and I painted my roof about two coats... It polishes up pretty good with some 1500 and rubbing compound but it was very thin and I can't see it lasting long. the rustoleum seems like a more economical choice.
  21. are you using just everday rustoleum or epoxy or heavy duty or what?
