  1. Whoa. that looks way better than the 350z. the rear end reminds me of the old 240-280z's now the roofline and that rear quarter window, along with the big flares.
  2. Wow, they upgraded them to HD finally. I think sharper Image used to have that in their magazines. it was 2800 bucks and didn't even do HD at the time. Looks like it got an upgrade. Probably costs damn near 3500 now
  3. Yep, there's a special program for cops to build special drag cars to bring to race tracks as a sort of promotion. You race the cop and beat him, you can get a trophy. My dad got one, but just barely. the Mustang 5.0 he was racing was capable of 12.XX's and so was my dad's VW. I think he beat him by a little less than 0.10. Pretty cool too. In NC one of our friends was a cop and wanted to build a VW to race in the program. haha that video IS for the Beat the Heat program. and that 5.0 my dad raced against got a LOT faster http://www.beattheheatinc.org/cops.html that's a list of their cars. if you scroll down, it's the 85 Mustang. does 11.22's now as for the obvious Hybrid Z...the information on the car is wrong. he must've changed cars and not updated the info or picture (or maybe has two?) his name is Jose Zeda
  4. Vins dangling his feet of the Z like it's a damn bench!
  5. You gave us the wrong links. those are the URL links for when you click the image. we need teh .JPG links
  6. yeah, I'm not sure what to tell you either except you have something REALLY restricting your power. there is no "governor" in the old Z's
  7. one of my favorite parts in this. the sign that reads "Quality must be built into a product. It cannot be inspected into it."
  8. the J bend hooks to the intake mani and the pipe that's at a T hooks into the turbo. it's for turbo Zs without an intercooler
  9. Yeah, I refuse to put a fram filter on my Z (the regular kind that is) but I would trust an HP1 filter. my dad has run that type on his racing VW for...i don't know...ever since he built the thing. so it should be coming close to 8 years now. Never had a single problem with them. BUT I think I'll go with Napa Gold/Wix from now on
  10. GEZUS did you see that fireball under it?!
  11. My friend was driving at night once driving one of our buddies home, and they heard a loud noise like metal breaking, so they pulled over thinking something had snapped. Couldn't find anything then noticed the antenna was GONE and had blood on it. then he said he heard a weird noise and noticed quite a bit behind his car was an owl with one wing flapping around a bit. it died a bit afterwards. I'm going to guess that 65mph+solid antenna+fragile flying creature=instant wing sheering.
  12. my insurance started at 140 when I first got my license. I had to pay for it too. Then once I turned 18 it dropped down to 90 a month. it's 85 a month right now. I think it drops again when I turn 21?
  13. From what I've read on a few forums from people who use these, they Do grip ok on the street (even when cold they're better than normal street tires) but if it EVER gets wet outside, don't even THINK about using them. oh, and they'll only last a few thousand miles
  14. and thus you get floor panels that fall out of cars and eleventybillion gears, with bottles of nitrous that last longer than a year
  15. haha I can imagine. It would be similar to standing next to a top fueler's exhaust on initial startup wouldn't it lol
  16. yeah, the site you linked says it has a multi flute recoil check, and says that it has very moderate recoil. My assistant manager at the old place I used to work had a brother with a .50 caliber hand gun with a muzzle brake on it. He said that for such a huge gun, it didn't kick NEARLY as much as he thought. but I'm sure if it wasn't for that brake he would've been hurting hah.
  17. dont' forget the turbo whistle! you also need to put stickers on it from every company that you DON'T have parts for.
  18. you also have to pull a ton of padding out so you sit super low, so only your head is above the doors window XP
  19. possibly because the stock crank is so good they don't see a need to replace it?
  20. yeah, and a skinned pigeon haha. check out its leg.
  21. man haha you guys are lucky. my Z isn't even close to passing emissions. Idle HC is 250 (limit 250) and Load HC is 1100 (limit is 250 again I think) CO% is fine though. I get to find out on friday whether or not I get to rebuild the engine and put new rings in. before the head rebuild to repair a warped head and compression leak through the number 3 exhaust valve, I was able to pass the load test at 120HC but idle would fail with 1100hc (because of the leaky valve) I'm really hoping I just see a charcoal looking spark plug, and not an ugly drippy plug.
  22. co2 extinguisher's should be cheaper shouldn't they? I've never looked at the cost, but Co2 is pretty cheap. 20oz only costs a few bucks to fill at a paintball shop
  23. I can definitely see how this concept would make a bit of increase in power. IF you can get enough vacuum in the exhaust, the cylinders would be under a vacuum, meaning the engine isn't pushing the exhaust out of the cylinder, but the piston is being pulled back up by the force of the vacuum. Hmmm if you had a twice pipe setup hooked up to 2 7000cfm fans, that would increase the overall vacuum and make it better haha
