I still have a shell that is amazingly clean/rust free...i also have a perfectly running 280z motor and trans that just got pulled a month or so ago for a v8 swap that can go with it. i have all the parts to put it completely back together and it would literally only take a weekend or two to get it going. not to mention only end up costing you 2k-2500 for a solid rust free running driving 280z, shoot me an email and we can set up a time to come look at it. hell i could even help you out with the install if you need me to. -Jeff datsundriver88@hotmail.com

John i think he worded/you took it wrong. i think he is talking about the stut insulators/rubber tops that have offset bolts so you can just unbolt them from the tower, twist, and camber is changed. thezstore.com has a few boltin products that when put together can get up to 1-1.5 deg either way...ive never used them on my car but have used/installed on customer cars and they seem to like them. are you kevin d the mitsu/evo tuner?

  9. hey sticky can you help me diagnose the 280zx problems, i have a post started in the troubleshooting and general maintenance section (why wont my car start area). i lost the emails of what you told me to replace sadly... so i hope you can give me a digital hand. thanks.

  10. yea i dont think a recipe is that big of a deal...but then agian people always say if you give an inch theyll take a mile. But people that post things on the internet should always expect them to be exploited/taken advantage of and not cry about it when it happens...think about all the girls that are mad that ex's are posting their "pics" on the internet. Then again they werent thinking about that when they were sending them to them cause they "loved them, and theyre never going to break up" lol kids...and women
  11. doooooode just go back to stock and add that middle "3rd" brakelight piece and let the sexiness flow....no need for all that custom (read expensive) body mods. But thats just my opinion...and ofcourse i am pretty bias cuz of the ole zx =)

  18. i agree...new is better than used usually just remember to buy BOTH as the other will go out soon after the new one if you only buy them one at a time...it was around $750-1k for a whole new brake system on my 80...front calipers, pads, rotors, wheel bearings, same in the rear, and stainless lines all around.
  19. haha rooookies...but yes make sure all the wires are hooked up, grounds are taken care of, battery cables are tight, and afm is nice and tight on the hose coming from the T/B...and try try again
  20. im with the rest on keeping it original and not modifying anything really....i hate to be a "purist" but at the same time why pay a good price for a nice car and shoot yourself in the face by modifying it. If you want to mod something go with a later year/280z, you get the efi already, tank, pump, etc...not to mention you get the r200, better brakes, axles, etc seriously i dont get why people get so hung up on taillights and turn signals....when you could just start with a much better platform. But its a debate that im sure will never go away, good luck on it, and id keep it original and just buy a later shell to put your parts into. -Jeff
  21. ohhhh well somebody is mr spiffy knowing all that info...But nice cars either way, to answer a question though (since noone else has) they look like wats, and the exhaust looks similar to the "anza" style.
  22. yessssh....and please go with NISSAN stuff when it comes to all that stock stuff thats being replaced....i have a hook up @ nissan parts if you need it...otherwise bad things could happen and that car needs some love. Not alot but enough if its the one im thinking of, where did you get it from? Ok now after i watched the video.... 1. BIGGER turbo...not a 42R...3076,3081, or 35r but nothing bigger or itll never spool 2. What brand coils...everyone makes them, get a good set if you plan on driving it 3. PLEASE for the love of everything that is holy...put some nice big wheels on that thing...its actually got a nice roll/pull on the fenders something 17 or 18x9.5 fronts and 10-11rears with lots of dish would look sexy 4. that Hydrolic ebrake will be tons of fun if you ever use it right...when you get it running take it out to mineral wells and ride along with one of the good guys out there...youll have wayyyyy too much fun

  24. not bashing....but why are you limiting it to a 240z...do you like the taillights, turn signals/bumpers (which can be changed easily enough) That much...?
