  1. We would kill for rain in the DFW area, over 100 degree's everyday and not a drop in several weeks
  2. Got to be hard to keep the front wheels on the ground with a solid axle, good luck this weekend
  3. Good news and an easy fix! Don't you wish everything was that easy...LOL
  4. Welded in cage, done right will do wonders. I do run an auto and that is much easier on the car than a six speed.
  5. JTR's are 1 3/4" X 3", if you are going to run a shorty that is the way to go!
  6. I am getting a mail order tune just to get it running, etc. When ready I will trailer it to Baton Rouge for the real deal from the same tuner. Geoff Skinner at EPS, he used to own Thunder Racing and is well known in the LS World plus he had my cam custom ground for me.
  7. Agree 100 percent, a six speed for the twisties is the only way to go!
  8. Before my LS swap I beat up on some 600-700 hp Mustangs/Vette's. Old set up was a 383 on spray, maybe 570 rwhp
  9. I am using a PSI LS3 harness plus a Painless wiring harness for the car itself. I am currently wiring up the car for the second time since I have owned it.
  10. That's a big shot of nitrous for a dry system. You sure the injectors can handle that? Either way that is hauling butt, my 385 sbc on a 175 shot rolling out and hitting it ran a best of 6.17 at 114.
  11. John's Cars uses Drive Train of Mesquite in Mesquite, TX. I bought my 4L80E slip yoke from them. For drive shafts I have always used Drive Shaft King in Dallas,TX.
  12. Been there done that and it sucks! At least your Daughter was proud of your limited 4 letter vocabulary
  13. I got my headers/collectors cut / welded and back in for the auto transmission, even had room for V bands! Question, are any of you folks running these long tubes the least bit concerned with the steering upper knuckle being so close to the primary tube on the drivers side, also the wiring for the starter and crank sensor are rediculously close to tubes. Getting a 2 guage wire, 2 seperate positive wires from the harness and a 8 guage alternator wire all in there with the crank sensor is stupid close to a melt down. Did anyone use heatshield or some sort of heat deflector? Signed, sincerely concerned....LOL
  14. I finally got mine to fit, had to hammer the s--t out of them to get them to fit around steering shaft and knuckle. Shupee, Are they for an auto or manual transmission?
  15. Beautiful ride, I remember your old set up and it was very impressive. The best of luck with her new set up, keep us up to date.
  16. Jerry is retired, sort of. He rents his shop and partial yard to a couple of builders. He kept the far side where he had his Z's stored, but few remain. I was out there a few weeks back, Jerry is a class guy! Mike
  17. I ran Flowmaster Delta 10's, they sounded good but man were they crazy loud
  18. That is why I run a drag radial, I hate the sloppy ass end when things get hairy! Slicks can put you in a bad spot quick!
  19. I know Jake, he works with a good friend of mine Daniel Muse at CBA in Corinth. The car goes in Saturday for the trans mount, header message and exhaust system. I have the 3rd thru the 8th off so I plan on finishing the wiring and getting the body back together, dash should be in as well. Time to get serious and rock and roll!
  20. I think the 3.36 gear comes in the 79 4 door model with 4 speed manual transmission.
