  1. I was going to upgrade my stock fuel tank and use a fuel cell. From what I have seen one must cut out the spare tire well and have it sit half inside the cabin and half below it. Now my concern is that being a unibody, removing such a chunk might make the chassis less rigid and may compromise the structural integrity of the car (RB25 240z & occasionally a hard driver on the track). What reinforcements would be a good choice without going deep into the wallet. I have a welder but no tube bending capabilities? Thanks.
  2. I have a few buddies that dont know anything about anything and would never even consider a Z because they are too old. Does that count lol? All they ever seem to talk about is when Im gonna have my RB swapped again so I can show up _______ friend of theirs who has a G35 and thinks they are the cats meow.
  3. An old school acquaintance of mine who has never used a computer asked me to try and sell a brand new set of pistons and rings for an L28 thats hes had sitting around for many years. Problem is Ive looked around the internet and searched HBZ and cant get any info on them. Nothing even shows up on HBZ about them. Thanks in advance.
  4. Im in San Diego with an RB25 in my garage and a running L24 240z. Still haven't got it in after pulling it from my wrecked 280z. Hopefully it wont be too long though. Id be down for some kind of RB meet up.
  5. Might grab an orange one for my desk since they got them down here.
  6. Yea I know, I usually get a lot of rice boys telling me this and that. Lately a lot of 350z owners have taken notice. She actually called my Z slow haha, even though it's the truth. More reason to get the RB25 in and cranking =p I'll see if I can get her to give me a picture of her fathers old car. For all I know she could just be bsing lol.
  7. I remember a long time ago when I was starting my first build and was choosing an engine. "what the hell is a Nissan Skyline and this RB engine your talking about, why don't you just keep it original?" I remember my dad asking me. I showed him some pictures of your car and that's all it took, a month or so later we started the RB25 build
  8. Well today I had to go to my college to meet up with a few people for a study group. I normally take the train but as I walked out I saw my Z and I just couldn't pass up the urge to go for a drive since it's been sitting for a week. I get into the parking lot and slam the door as usual while getting out (you Z guys know how it is). As I look up a nice looking Japanese girl walks up to me and says "hi!" At first I was kind of shocked because I work at the bookstore on campus where many Japanese girls come in and they are always extremely introverted and don't make any eye contact. I say "hi can I help you?" like a total dork. She smiles and runs her hand across the fender mirror and follows the line of the Z and says "I love your car." I respond with a thanks and start up some small talk (what's your name etc...) She then said "my father has a 240z, he passed away...it was orange like this one and had mirrors like these but it was a little different." I respond with a sorry, I never know what to say to those kind of things. "I used to help him work on it before he was sick, it had wide wheels and a really fast engine, I think you call it twin turbo" she said. I spoke out "watanabes?" and she perked up shaking her head up and down "yes yes!" then she stretches her hands out trying to show width. At this point my jaw is gaped open in awe, never thought something like this would ever happen. I offer to walk her to wherever she is going. She then told me of how he used to race on the highways late at night on the weekends when she was a little girl and how much she wanted to go. She is from Osaka and has only been in the US for a month. I asked her about the engine and she says that she only remembers that it is a twin turbo and her father built it a long time ago. The Z is in storage back in Osaka because she couldn't stand the thought of getting rid of it and convinced her mother to keep it. At this point I am totally into this girl and offer her my number and she asks if I am busy at the moment, "no" I say (lol who needs to study right?) we get into a big conversation and I offer to take her for a ride to go get sone lunch. She practically jumps into the air and says "yes!" she walks over to the drivers side and patiently waits for me to open the door. I ask if she wants to drive and she smiles and runs over to the other side and says I forgot you drive on the wrong side. As we were driving she was in like heaven, it was kind of cool. After lunch she pecks me on the cheek and asks if I would like to date. Interesting way to meet a girl huh?
  9. Is the g nose oem? I'd pay you to take it off and send it to me if it is.
  10. I have a 280z cap that I used on my 280z that I am not using anymore as well. I can post pictures of the two later.
  11. Nice set up with the wheel and seat! Too bad they don't make it for the pc though, I just recently built a full on computer that's packing a six core processor and a full liquid cooling set up. PS3 seems like a whimp compared to it now =\
  12. What are you guys talking about? It does have diamond plate...sheesh.
  13. I have a brand new 240z dashcap that I'm not going to use. Pm me if your interested.
  14. Looks awesome! It's probally too early to tell, but is your Z running better with that setup installed?
  15. I don't think you need to modify anything, you just need to pipe your intercooler to it.
  16. Cool setup! Only suggestion I would add is it would probally have been better to get a higher flowing pump. Unless you are just planning on keeping the turbo stock or mild.
  17. Cops give me werid looks in my orange 240z and the exhaust is currently very legal. I think its just what catches their eyes, in my case an orange sports car with a "kid" driving.
  18. Clean build, will be checking up on this one.
  19. Interesting body, kind of reminds me of a Lancia Delta.
  20. I think Ive seen some of these at the junk yard, non turbo though. Interested in seeing the results.
  21. I have the one made for GT4 which is pretty good. There is an even better one out by logitech but its expensive with a clutch and six speed gear box. To my understanding it doesnt make the whine when you turn the wheel like other ones.
  22. Yeah, hopefully it'll turn out a lot better this time since I worked out the install kinks on my 280z. Running a Power Fc standalone ecu this time, so it should run a lot better with a tune.
