  1. Why are they crossdrilled? I thought that was obsolete. Surely it wasn't to save weight?
  2. If it doesn't have an RB, I dont' want it. Who is getting all the OLD skylines?
  3. I tried to find a section for featured cars of the month for about 10 minutes. WHERE THE HELL IS IT?
  4. http://www.sixsixfive.com - the guy who drew that owns that site.
  5. Anubis, you should paint this on your hood:
  6. Holy crap!!!! What are you doing with your old setup??
  7. Is there any reason you didn't just use the stock resistor pack? That's what I was planning on doing.
  8. Did the 200sx slave cylinder mount right up, or did you have to use some kind of spacers to get the right distance from the transmission?
  9. I don't think that it is a fluid problem because when I took the slave cylinder off, the piston didn't extend any farther off the car than on it. I may have a different problem now that a shorter collar will not help with but I would still like to hear what everyone else has done when they go to a 240mm clutch. I am kind of disappointed in the lack of response - I KNOW there are more than 2 guys that have been through this. Please let me know what you did.
  10. It is the same clutch fork. I pulled the collar from my T5 and 2 collars from 77-78 transmissions. The collars are the same on those, and they are LONGER than the T5 collar. This doesn't make sense to me. If I'm getting less than enough throw right now, how can a SHORTER collar help me? To make sure I wasn't crazy I pushed on the fork in one of the spare transmissions from the front, the same way the piston pushes, and it moves the collar forward (towards the front of the car.) Replacing the collar that is presently in there with a shorter one would reduce the amount it is pushed forward, the same effect you'd get if you didn't push the pedal down all the way. And yet, this is what all these sites are recommending I do. What gives? Surely there are a few people here who have put a 240mm clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel on a coupe. Please let me know what's going on.
  11. Since no one answered in the other thread, I'm making my own topic here...this is my question: http://www.zhome.com/rnt/L28conversion/engine.html http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/engine.html Both of these sections on flywheel/clutch 240mm swaps say to use a "throw out bearing that matches the flywheel." I'm about to pull my transmission this weekend because I've been told the stock TO bearing collar was used with a 240mm clutch and flywheel. This would explain why it doesn't fully disengage all the time. My question for the rest of you guys is, will the TO bearing collar on the BW T5 in my garage (from a turbo car with a 240mm flywheel) be fine to swap in? Or do I need to order one from an s30 2+2 model instead? -Forrest

  13. Hey Joel, I used the stock sliders, which I had to drill out to match. http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=214635 They are 30lbs each? That is definitely heavier than I thought, mine feel lighter than the stock seats and I thought the stock seats were around 25.
  14. Those seats rock - I have installed a pair. That's not a bad price. Mike, you say they sit low - were you able to install them without using spacers?Im' thinking about cutting down the corner a little to stop them from hitting the transmission tunnel before I move them to my new car.
  15. You guys need a soapstone stove made by Tyson. Here it is t-shirt weather.
  16. Happy Birthday to both you guys, and I BETTER see you both at Reynolds!
  17. I thought the avatar sizes were automatically restricted! What is this site management chaos! HAS THE WORLD GONE CRAZY?!
  18. My Simpson 6 point camlock pulldown was only 250$.
  19. There is a guy locally that runs 12.9's in his. So I don't know if that is considered "right" or not, but I can't talk smack until I can go faster. -Forrest Wait, yes I can, FF sucks!
  20. The GTS 1985-1987 is RWD. They're hard to find though. All the ones I've seen go for about 150%-200% of the blackbook value, as well.
