  1. @Sanchez I did something similar to my front end when I redid it, I ended up using 2x2 0.125 wall thickness. I havent driven the car yet but looks a lot better than it did. If I was to redo it again I would run the frame rails all the way under the floor pans and brace everything up together.
  2. Another long weekend down and a bit more finished on the Z. Passenger side panel remade again... still need to adjust for spacing and give it abit more shape.
  3. making some good progress on the car! How do you like the woodward line of tools? Do you have any other?
  4. @Nelsonian yes that was the idea. Feel as though it isnt flowing well though, might finish the panel then just snip that section out.
  5. Work has slowed down abit so currently have my sundays back! Got started on the front fender. Did a quick mock up with tape and installed my new turn signal then started laying out some lines on some sheet metal. The plan is to try to have the front fender blend back into the orginal fender and the door, fingers crossed i dont have the remake this peice a whole bunch of times. I ended up notching out the one sections for the turn signal and folding the metal back. After taking another look at it im not to sure I like the cut out section. Might decide to remake it and go for something that feels more fluid. Thoughts? opinions?
  6. @toolman great job on the pie cuts! Looking forward to seeing the finished product
  7. thanks everyone! appreciate the words. @AydinZ71I had a lot of it, just need to hammer and dolly it.
  8. ace race is good, stainless bros are also good. I always use one of these two.
  9. @AydinZ71 all mild steel, just ground down some of the welds for now. Still need to hammer them out but limited on time at the moment. @NelsonianThanks! Hopefully start the other side in the next couple weeks. Glad to see everything finally coming together though.
  10. great progress so far. I just did the passenger side door jambs as well, starting the driver side shortly
  11. Excited to follow the build! Any pictures?
  12. Slow progress but any is better than none. Hammered out the passenger side rear. Still need to do some trimming but its better than how it was. Need to finish up the passenger side rear quater then weld them to the back.
  13. Great job on the progress! gave me some more motivation to work on mine. Glad to know the new panel was such a great fit.
  14. rear out came out nicely, where did you guys buy your replacement panel from? I started making one this weekend but works gotten abit to busy was thinking I might buy one.
  15. After fitting the rear quarter panel on the driver side I didn't like how the rear dog leg was aligning so I decided to cut it off and remake a new one. I ended up making the radius section a little more defined the second time around.
  16. @AydinZ71 ya typically ill do a paper template, tape it all over the car and if I like it I'll either make a wood or wire buck.
  17. @AydinZ71 Saw your build its coming along nicely. Can't wait until the rust is all gone. I'm going to need to do some research to see how I'll tube the back.
  18. More rust, thinking about just tubing the entire rear end...
  19. @Bobendid you ever get this complete?
  20. Great job on the motor mounts, what thickness of material did you end up using?
  21. Great update, good amount of pictures. What are you planning on doing with the dash, something custom? Do you have plates on the other side (inside) of the firewall or are the tubes all connected to one another?
  22. wheels are 12in outside to outside, cannot recall what the offsets were at the moment. Tires are 225. 45 i think
