  1. I have a set sitting on the bench in the garage. As soon as we get a break in this storm we're in the middle of I'll go out and snap a picture or two. Joe
  2. Please clutter the list! I am also interested and would love to know how they are mounted/adjusted for camber and caster. Joe
  3. Yes that's what I was asking. But shouldn't you be taking weight into consideration? 200 into corner weight will give you the amout of spring compression then take that amount into consideration to place the insert in the middle of it's travel at rest. When this is done I want the ride height to be 1.5" less than stock. Did that make sense? I guess what I actuall need is a guesstimate on corner weight for the front of my car. Joe
  4. What is up with the search tool?? I don't have access to corner scales any longer and was looking for a post I remember seeing about sectioning amounts. I'm using MR2 struts in the front of a 71 with 200 pound ten inch springs. The car is slightly heavier than stock because of a ZXturbo motor, intercooler and oil cooler. Does anyone have a recommendation for amount to be taken out of the strut tube to lower the front of the rocker panel say an inch and a half? Thanks. Joe
  5. Everyone should have a Z hybrid with one of each Joe
  6. There are many posts for Chrysler swaps. Start here http://forums.hybridz.org/search.php?searchid=67639
  7. What are they asking for the 280? Have you checked the floor from under the car? What is your dad looking to spend? Joe
  8. I have one in the garage. It does have a different center section but it definetly not a lsd. Joe
  9. I never realized they were sold individually. $300 for each corner??? A little steep for me. Joe
  10. Where in NJ are you? The red 260 in my avatar is a V8 car. Also, one of my friends just bought a V8 280. His has an automatic trans that we will be changing to a 5 speed very soon. Maybe you and your father can make the trip up to Syracuse for the convention in August. It should be a really good time with lots of Z cars! Joe

Doesn't seem to work with Netscape.
  12. Aw c'mon! You can make it in an hour. Just hook up the plow and come on down. All kidding aside, good luck with the booster. Which one did you end up ordering? Joe
  13. z-REX, I was going to say drive it down and we'll get the brakes sorted out, but that wouldn't work now, would it?! Joe
  14. I'll be going. I'm in north Jersey, close enough to NYC. So far I think 3 cars will be going up together. Joe
  15. Yeah and.....forgot what I was gonna say because of Pete's "Bling-Allergic" that I just noticed! Too funny!! Joe
  16. Because the intake ports and exhaust ports are on the same side of the head, the exhaust will heat up the intake charge. A hot intake charge is a big no no.
  17. Well here is tha answer for my V8 car! The late 70's, early 80's Jeep 151 4 cylinder CJ bellhousing. Since this was the GM Iron Duke engine that Jeep used, the bell has the Cheverolet V8 bolt pattern on the engine side and the Ford T5 pattern on the other. (Originally used with the Jeep T4). Chevy Small Block to a Mustang T5, this is how you start. Joe
  18. I'll be there. Just found out that a Mustang input shaft is 7.18" long. Do you have a Nissan T5 out to measure? Joe And don't think you got away with the "baby my Z" line. I've seen you drive!
  19. Len, yeah I know others have done it but I think you guys have the record for the amout of T5's trashed! I'm still running a T5 also. The only difference is my car breaks other things before it has a chance to break the trans I'm still looking at the Ford WC T5 if Ken doesn't figure out a cheap way to use the Z32 trans. Randy, what was the problem with the bellhousing to WC fitment? Was it bolt placement or diameter of the bellhousing didn't match? Joe Len, you guys going to the convention in August?
  20. Hey Len, Since you and your cousin are the "strip the teeth off of third gear" kings, why not put a Nissan trans behind one of those turbo motors and tell us what the weak link is! Joe
  21. I'm using long tube Hooker headers, GM angle plug heads and motor in the Scarab position. Joe
  22. MR2 struts in the front and 240 fronts for the rear. Actually I just knocked the spacer off of the 240 rear (making them the same lenght as 240 fronts) Illumina's and used them for the rear. Joe
  23. Since your going programmable FI I would err on the side of a little too large. None of us is ever satified with the amout of power we are making so my thinking is if your going to change them now, why not prepare for future mods and go a little larger? Joe
  24. I wasn't there but the vid looks authentic to me. Especially since there are voices heard. I don't think the people involved would try to enhance the video. It doesn't fit their style. Nice work! Joe
  25. To start, I haven't read all the replies, only the linked doc. There are two things I want to add. The first is that the plane that I witnessed hit the south tower was definetely a passanger plane. The thing was huge as I was about 800' (yes feet) away from it as it flew over my head while I was watching the north tower from West Street. There were no "pods" on the plane and it had a full compliment of windows. The second is that the was a fighter jet over head within 3 minutes of the second plane crashing into the tower. How I know this is I almost sh*t my pants when I heard another jet after witnessing the last one I saw crash into a building. I know the article says there were no military aircraft in the area and that might be true, but they did know something was wrong and were trying to get there. How long can it take to get to NYC from Va or Ma in a fighter jet? I'm not one for war but I can tell you that I never want to see anything like that in my lfe ever again. I'm glad we are doing something about the terrorist threat in their backyard. It's been 3 1/2 years since 9/11 and everyday I go to work I have to see the signs in the subway about keeping your eyes open and making sure you say something if you see something out of the ordinary. You can tell when the police have heard something as there will be hundreds of them around. It's scary. Sorry for the rant, but life has drastically changed since 9/11. Joe
