  1. I have 2.5" across the front of the valve cover and I still have the stock fan and shroud. I did have to trim the shroud a little. I'll post a pic when I get home. Joe
  2. Great pictures. I'm sold. Joe
  3. How is the top idler getting lubricated? That's the only thing I can see that could be a problem. Joe
  4. My 71 is Sikkens mixing color. Can't remember the number off the top of my head but Sikkens only has 2 that IMHO look good. It's worth a shot to go look. Joe
  5. Hmmm....Adapter plate and put it behind a V8? 6 speeds for $250? I don't care if it blows up I have to try it. Joel can you include me if you contact them for another? Thanks. Joe
  6. Will this go head to head with Ara and George at Bullish?
  7. Sorry Gilles, you can't use an 8 cylinder TecII on a six cylinder engine. Joe
  8. Just looking to see how I was rated. Amost 2 seconds slower with the same rating as James. Not too bad
  9. Bastaad525, I was using Felpro gaskets as insurance against piston damage when I started tuning my turbo setup. Blew 2 of them ($hitty tuning, I know) before I was comfortable with the way the engine was running. I now have an HKS gasket on there. When I did blow the gaskets, both times I only blew out the compression ring. No oil or coolant leaking at all! Guess I got lucky. I know you have trouble working on the car where you live, but you wouldn't have to work on it from the bottom. Yank the head and see what's up. If you find a bad gasket, just put a straight edge on the head to make sure it's flat, replace the gasket with a Nissan turbo HG, and change the oil. I wouldn't use synthetic until I was sure the motor was going to stay together. Use it the next time you change the oil. If you have the tools, how long could it take? A day? When this stuff happens to me I get the attitude of there is no way this car is going to get the better of me. Selling it will never be satisfying, fixing it will. Just my 2 cents. Joe
  10. Woo hoo!! I just got the diff and CV axles for $150 from a 95 Q45. Now I just have to find another set of CV axles and the shortie axles themselves. Hey Tim, how is your contact for CV axles? PM me!
  11. Is the motor an 87mm overbore (3liter)? We had a group buy for flat top 87mm forged slugs a while back from Ross racing pistons. I'm sure you can get them for under $440 a set including rings. If you want to go that way I can give you the build number for the ones we are using. Oh yeah, they have been holding up to my horrible tuning ability just fine Joe
  12. I'm with ya with the salary guy. 1200 miles from home on a Sunday and not getting so much as a pat on the back!
  13. Where ya working Jeff? I'm still in the office also. I'm actually in Lake Mary. Joe
  14. I hear ya. That's why I didn't post that I was coming down to Orlando. I know what happens. I got down here yesterday, went to our office for a few hours then came to the hotel. Now I'm going back to the office, on SuperBowl Sunday no less, and will probably be there for 10-12 hours. I don't feel so bad, it's been raining since I got here Joe
  15. Another example if they can't buy the company that has a good product is to develop something that sort of works like what they want and market the $h!t of of it to steal the market. My company has about 16000 users worldwide that run on Edir. We are switching to Active Directory not because Novell doesn't work but because they aren't Microsoft. This project is going to keep me busy until I retire.
  16. Where are you located? I also have an uncut 83 harness. Joe
  17. Looks like that could be my next train station car! If the price stays reasonable. Joe
  18. Me too! I know there has to be a DOHC head out there that would be a good candidate for swapping to a L28 bottom end. Unfortunately I don't have the time to go yard searching so I'm hoping someone on here can help. Joe
  19. Where did you find them? I wonder if they would fit the four bolt Z31 shafts. Could be an option for me since i have 4 bolt shafts with no flanges to match. Joe
  20. rags

3.54, 3.70, 3.90 are the easy finds. If your looking for a replacement for your 76's 3.54 I have a couple. Joe
  21. Terry, Is that a front sway bar? I love the mount! Joe
  22. This might be a stupid question but did you check to see that all the lights were flashing when you had the hazards on? Joe
