  1. You are a nutter, but I love it. Insane power for such a car. Awesome stuff. Also saw your car on speed hunters.
  2. Any more comments on the power steering? I'm still unsure about getting this myself.
  3. Looking Great You say so still spin up the wheels, I assume this is mostly in first gear and perhaps a bit in second also? Just wondering because my car has huge grip from only 225/45/16 semi slicks, always surprises experienced tuners/drivers by just how well it grips once the tyres are warm so for sure Z's can grip. Softish rear suspension helps it squat a bit and dig in. On cold tyres it will spin second even on low boost but once they are warm the grip is great, not to much spinning even on high boost, first gear is always useless though, I would imagine if I ran 315's I would get zero wheel spin in any gear, although I do only have 480hp 500ftlb for now.
  4. I think you must be a proper nutter, in a good way. lol
  5. That's some great work, you'll be able to run some massive rubber now.
  6. ^^ What is the purpose of that big weight under the diff? I removed mine and never noticed any difference. ^^ Verdict so far seem to be that a more solid bar won't have any drawbacks. Has anyone broken an AZC or similar bar?
  7. That's completely crazy, didn't realise you were going to have this much power. Surely even with your setup, you can't put that power to the ground?
  8. Like it so far, keep it updated. Good project.
  9. Great to hear you still plan to use it on the road, top stuff. How will the new setup affect road manners and handling in the corners. Work looks great, wish I had the skill to carry out work like this or even if there was somewhere that could do work like this.
  10. whatnow123 - You say its got to be lighter, but its a good bit thicker than the steel one so I doubt there a huge amount in it. I also have a pinion snubber, wouldn't be without one. Technically its not solidly mounted as it still mounts with poly bushes, however the bar itself will not flex like the stock ones does. What I am asking is what you said, solid bar vs semi flexible spring like bar both mounted with poly bushes. I would imagine that even if the bushes give some movement, there will still be a lot more load on the parts John mentioned. svMike - I imagine his will be similar to mine, have a look at technoversions website.
  11. I'm thinking of running some AZC components in the rear, moustache bar, dog legs and cross brace to enable me to fit a finned diff cover and run a rear mount ARB so I can extend my frame rails. What are the disadvantages of running a solid moustache bar? I may be wrong but is the original not designed to be slightly flexible and act as a sort of spring. If this is the case what do you loose by running a solid one? What do you gain? Nothing? Can anyone running this setup let me know if its heavier or lighter than the stock setup?
  12. Great to see it running. I can only imagine how stupidly ridiculously fast that thing must feel. Sounds great too, I think, once the turbo starts to spool it revs out so fast you hardly get a chance to hear it. love how your car looks, from the rear a little too much tyre for me, but function over form any day, overall I think it looks epic.
  13. That's some crazy work there. I take it this is going to be a drag only car from now on?
  14. I'm running a 4.11 and I can sit at 70mph AT 3100RPM, this is good for me and the car is nice on the motorway, can't imagine using a different FD and this is perfect.
  15. That's got to be a massive understatement because I can say that about mine and I'm only running 1.5 bar. Looks awesome also.
  16. That's some diffuser. At least no harm was done to the engine and it will soon be up and running 100%, look forward to seeing it go.
  17. I run sticky R1R tyres but only 225/45/16's with 480hp and 490lb/ft and with softsh suspension at the rear it just squats a bit, digs in and shoots off. That is as long as I don't launch too hard, if I do then its just spins up but I still think that's impressive given the small tyres. I can take off really fast if I start to feed in the throttle as I let the clutch out, not quite a high rpm launch but its still takes off really quick.
  18. I put better pads in mine today replacing the cheapo budget pads, performance is even better now, will likely have to turn down the rear bias in the wet.
  19. Would have updated this a few weeks ago but I was having problem pasting things into the form. Quite mean looking with the intercooler there, you can just about see the diffuser plate below the intercooler, this makes a huge difference to the aerodynamic performance. Plus it looks much better than without it. I've since spent two days giving her a full detail so it should look even better now. Its now fully mapped and running great, I'm really loving it, loads of fun and crazy quick. Made 480hp and 490lbft Some heat in there! One of the earlier ramp runs, not a great video, I have better footage from my GoPro but my software isn't working right at the moment. My turbo side engine mount bush has failed, my hopefully stronger custom replacement arrived today so hoping to get it fitted on Monday and get back to some proper driving again. Ran out of toe adjustment and was stuck at 2' out either side, so I trimmed the end slightly and it should be all good now, also needing to get my brakes skimmed.
  20. Will be interested to see how it looks once you're done with your wheels. I was planning on fitting flares but I'm actually getting enough traction with the way I have it now so I might not bother. Trying to update my thread atm but I'm having problems pasting things into my editor.
  21. Not long now then, given how quick mine is with 480hp and just under 500Ftlbs this thing is going to be a complete Animal.
