  1. Would have updated this a few weeks ago but I was having problem pasting things into the form. Quite mean looking with the intercooler there, you can just about see the diffuser plate below the intercooler, this makes a huge difference to the aerodynamic performance. Plus it looks much better than without it. I've since spent two days giving her a full detail so it should look even better now. Its now fully mapped and running great, I'm really loving it, loads of fun and crazy quick. Made 480hp and 490lbft Some heat in there! One of the earlier ramp runs, not a great video, I have better footage from my GoPro but my software isn't working right at the moment. My turbo side engine mount bush has failed, my hopefully stronger custom replacement arrived today so hoping to get it fitted on Monday and get back to some proper driving again. Ran out of toe adjustment and was stuck at 2' out either side, so I trimmed the end slightly and it should be all good now, also needing to get my brakes skimmed.
  2. Will be interested to see how it looks once you're done with your wheels. I was planning on fitting flares but I'm actually getting enough traction with the way I have it now so I might not bother. Trying to update my thread atm but I'm having problems pasting things into my editor.
  3. Not long now then, given how quick mine is with 480hp and just under 500Ftlbs this thing is going to be a complete Animal.
  4. I'm hoping to get mine running properly tomorrow, its meant to be getting tuned on Monday all going well, can't wait. I love my 16" wheels, but you just can't get enough tyres In that size so I will be going 17's, I think I can run 275's if I go for a custom wheel. I am also considering 16's on front and 17's on the rear, really not sure how it would look.
  5. That's some crazy power, I too would like to see the dyno plot, interested in your power curve. Hope this one continues to run well for you.
  6. Very nice, won't be long before its finished then. Just wondering why you went with the numbers instead of leaving it plain?
  7. 315 is pretty wide, surely that enough rubber? If not you need some traction control or less power. I think 335 would look to wide when viewed from behind the car because S30 are quite small cars, it would look really over tyred.
  8. I won't be driving sowly if I go, but I won't be driving past 8/10ths either. More worried about being hit by someone else or being involved through no fault of my own, does happen a lot of you watch the videos.
  9. Don't know whats going on with all your cars rubbing, My 225/45/16 tyres never rub, they are very close, but don't rub. You just need to make sure to have an offset close to +10 on the rear, or if you have coilovers I reckon +15 - +20 could fit.
  10. Hope you find somewhere and get it installed soon, bound to feel a lot better on track. Plenty of guys use them here and do seem to like them, great thing is they are almost unbreakable and don't require maintenance. My car will be out next month, can't wait to try out the RB properly and try my OS Giken LSD, I went for that over a Quaife so hopefully its as good as it should be.
  11. Had thoughts about taking mine there, but I'm not sure its worth the risk.
  12. I can't see that fitting, you need something more like +10. If you only want 205's then why use 8" wheels, I'd have thought 7" wheels would be better.
  13. I run 225/45/16's on a 8" wheel with +10 offset, it fits the rear well, no rubbing. Not stock suspension but I tried it when I has stock suspension and it did fit at the rear but not the front.
  14. Nice work on the tank install. I'm interested in how you find the Quaife, I have one in my Civic and its great but I wasn't sure how well it would work in a RWD. Let me know how you find it.
  15. Cheapest is to keep stock tank and run a surge tank, neatest is a custom tank with in tank pump or a fuel cell. Depends what you are after. Look at some of the build on here to help you decide what you want, lots of different way to go can be seen on each build. Lots of research but I easily put in many hundreds of hours of research on my build. From what I understand 300hp is about the limit for U-joint shafts so you will probably be ok without upgrading to CV's.
  16. Sounds like its been done properly, good to hear.
  17. You should have a look into the Link ECU's, mine requires rewiring but they also do one which fits inside the stock ECU case and can be used with stock wiring only other ECU I would have considered was a Motec. Regarding weight, my wildwood setup actually weights less than my stock setup did so I doubt you've added any weight there. 8.8kg vs 9kg Regarding the fuel cell, its going to be safer removing it from the passenger compartment and you will also benefit by having the weight lower, it depends if you think its worth the cost as it looks like you'll also have to redo part of your exhaust for this. Your exhaust seems very loud, I wouldn't be able to run on many tracks round her with on that loud.
  18. Nice work, especially as you are doing it all on the ground.
  19. Sorry for the 3 posts, for some reason if I put separate paragraphs in the same form it won't submit? If you want a better look at my setup theres more photos in my build thread which can be found in the members builds - S30 section.
  20. I didn't want to skimp on my ECU as I consider it one of the most important aspects of an engine setup. I'm very happy with my link G4+ and can totally recommend that, for me it was well worth the money for the amount of options and feature available. Can't comment on Nistune as I've never used it and most of the people in the UK with anything other than stock RB builds seem to go for standalone setups.
  21. Just had another look at your engine bay photo there and I can see the MAF's, I missed those when I was looking before. With my build I made it a priority to get rid of the MAF's, mainly for packaging reasons as I've seen many other RB builds where people have struggled for decent intake placement. Definitely get rid of your MAF's, a map sensor is a better deal.
