Well, you could use a T3 to V band adaptor http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-5-T3-GT-4-Bolt-To-3-V-Band-Adapter-Turbo-Downpipe_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ019QQitemZ8031374450QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V or just get a 4 bolt flange http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-Hybrid-Turbo-4-bolt-Downpipe-Flange-17-shipped_W0QQitemZ270048960571QQihZ017QQcategoryZ33742QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem either way a custom downpipe will have to be made and an external downpipe fitted.A wastegate adaptor to T3 flange will simplify things http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-to-T3-Turbo-Adapter-With-Wastegate-Flange_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33742QQihZ015QQitemZ250044288790QQr My advice for the downpipe is to find a welder who has made a downpipe before as it is quite an art to fittment especially in tight locations.

You should post a couple of pics of the oil drain and feed. You might try contacting Precision Turbo as they should be able to source the oil inlet fitting as it was a specality item for my bb turbo. They should be able to help with the drain fitting as well. That turbo should be capable of making 550hp. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sss510six/detail?.dir=63ef&.dnm=1928scd.jpg&.src=ph http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sss510six/detail?.dir=63ef&.dnm=2bcascd.jpg&.src=ph Does the turbo look kinda like this?

It can be a challenge in stop/go traffic with a really light flywheel (11lb Tilton) and a super stiff and strong clutch(A sintered iron disc and a 2600 pressure plate). That clutch was an on /off switch. The current 10,000 rpm dual disc clutch is still a challenge in stop and go traffic due to the fact the entire assembly weighs only 13lbs.

Is the kit a single fogger kit?

Need Ideas, Keep Popping Freeze Plugs!

I vote for the combustion pressure getting into the coolant passages. When I ran the big shot of N20 I always have had the coolant catch can fill up.Once the block was O ringed and a NISMO HG was used the problem wasn`t as bad but it still happens. -
AEM is not for the weak of mind or will.

I wouldn`t do that in the State of California.Keep your muffler, If you have to have open exhaust I have a 2.5" exhaust cutout that`s left over from converting to 3".PM me if you want it.

A couple of pics of the downpipe for the new turbo. The pictures don`t really do it justice it took a total of 5 mandrel bends to snake the DP around to clear everything. My buddy Vern at Raver Motorsports does first class work. The Tial 44mm wastegate is merged into the downpipe with a flexjoint and several 2" bends. It`s too bad I am going to have to wrap the downpipe to keep from BBQing my feet. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sss510six/album?.dir=f1ff

Sounds like a cam that can use the stock Valve springs. Not to much lift and a fair amount of duration. In an L series motor it would depend on if your head/manifold is ported.I would Imagine that the cam will peak somewhere around 5800rpm,mabey a little less.Without knowing exactly what size your compressor wheel is and how large or small the exhaust wheel is it could spool useable boost from 2000-4000 rpm.I ran a similar size cam on a motor with a small T4 and a large shot of nitrous and the power peaked at around 5600rpm.With a larger .488 lift split duration 280/288 cam with 112.5 * lobe centers the car picked up .3 tenths at the drag strip with no other changes.

Bernard, the injector is a Bosch 160lb unit that is alcohol compatable .The Pump is a Shurflo unit set to 90psi ,a 20' piece of teflon lined -6 is used as the line /resevoir and all of the fittings are either brass nickle plated or ceramic coated inside. Also Klotz Uplon is used with the methanol as a lubricant and as a protection to the whole system from corrosion.
-
The AEM will allow for very precise controll of both the methanol fuel pump (which will be set via an output to 1-2psi) and the injector which will start injecting at 5-6psi.Plus the output of the AEM EMS can be set with a TPS percentage, so that when the throttle is lifted the injection shuts off automatically. If worse comes to worse I can recirculate my HKS SSBOV.
-
The alcohol is only sprayed during boost and the BOV only opens during high vacuum. So everything should be OK, plus I know of several people running AEM with the same setup with no ill effects.
-
Some pictures of my methanol injection setup using a single 160lb injector and a coolingmist Shurflo 90psi pump. The injector will be under controll of the secondary injector system in the AEM EMS.So alcohol injection will be variable according to boost. The T67 bb turbo is also shown in the pics the Tial 44mm wastegate and downpipe should be completed by the end of the week. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sss510six/album?.dir=/f1ff BTW the other pics are of a Bonneville awd Galant with a Liquid/Air IC and a GT40 bb turbo. The setup has dyno`ed almost 600 whp.

Sounds like your timing is way off.

http://www.alkycontrol.com/ http://www.snowperformance.net/ http://www.coolingmist.com/ Ethanol/Methanol water injection systems are very common you will have to do a bit of research to find out what system will work best for your needs.

Extreme Hi-Octane Injection w/ Boost or NOS INSTEAD Of Fuel
510six replied to a topic in Fuel Delivery
I am a painter by trade and have used both Tolulene and Xylene from time to time and have mixed both to make a higer octain brew.It worked great with a turbo motor. My thought is if your going to be using a small fuel cell when the N20 is engaged I would think about using methanol/ethanol even E85 if it is avalible in your area. You could buy a pump from coolingmist.com and add some Klotz Uplon. This would provide needed octain and be a bit cheeper than race gas too. -
Extreme Hi-Octane Injection w/ Boost or NOS INSTEAD Of Fuel
510six replied to a topic in Fuel Delivery
I am running a similar setup for my methanol injection system under boost .It uses a single 160lb injector facing towards the turbo in the intake piping that sprays methanol under boost.A 3 gallon fuel cell is mounted in the trunk and uses a 90 psi fuel pump that is internally regulated, so the 160lb injector at 90psi acts like a much larger unit. And the alcohol vaporizing is a chemical intercooler and due to the fact that the injector it is controlled by the AEM EMS as a suplemental injector and can vary the amount of fuel according to boost levels. With N20 a supplimental injector controller could be used, or the supplimental injector option in several aftermarket EFI sytems including megasquirt. http://www.sdsefi.com/eic.html BTW I am using the SDS injector holders and they look even better up close. -
What are the details of your methanol injection? I might switch to ethanol as several plants are producing it locally and will sell it in 55gallon drums at minimum.
-
That is really impressive with the stock head...you have me itching to get my setup together and dyno tuned.

I have been doing some research on running E85 in my 510.I currently run Klotz Uplon in the methanol injection fuel cell, this prevents the methanol from absorbing large amounts of water and quells the corosive properties. The fuel tank will either have to be nickle plated on the inside or a plastic fuel cell will have to be used.A Bosch 044 fuel pump is methanol compatable.Stainless or alcohol compatable plastic fuel line must be used. The regulator That I am going to be using is a Mallory 4305 EFI regulator with a hard anodized fuel rail and all fuel fittings will be hard anodized ,nickle plated, stainless steel or brass. The Fuel injectors will be alcohol compatable 1600cc Bosch Injectors part# 0280150839. http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsMODS.asp#cngrec http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MAA%2D4305M&N=700+1004+115&autoview=sku http://quickstreetcars.com/forum1/showthread.php?p=3780#post3780 http://www.caswellplating.com/kits/nickel.htm

That looks like one of the turbo`s from the Caterpillar stationary generators from work. You wouldn`t want to drop that on your foot.

The combustion chambers look like an N33 head .Which is a JDM only head.

Copper gaskets are generally used in conjuction with O rings and will always leak a little water.I had one years ago on a turbo L series 4 cyl and it worked OK with copper tack on it with O ringed cylinders , but it still leaked a bit of coolant.I ran some Bars all stop leak , the kind that looks like coffee grounds and that helped a bunch. You might try some of this http://www.headgasket.com/contents/_GWG%20P_5_label%20v1.pdf

What I would do is to find a L28 and put a header and use your modified stock carbs. With a mild cam a friend with a bone stock L28 and different needles in the SU`s and a mild cam ran 14.6 on a set of sticky street tires. It was a budget setup, but worked quite well.
