  1. The Gran Sport still makes me drool
  2. Sweeet.... I'd love to hear it leaving quickly from a stop light !
  3. Not sure how much it would affect it...if much at all. Powdercoating is usually only about 1-3 mil thick. Not much material there to really change heat transfer.
  4. They will look good with the blue metallic. When I get the wagon project finished, I want to put a set of those wheels on the Z in the graphite finish. I missed out on the Konig deal.
  5. My personal ones I take apart completely and rebuild them. Newer ones I just break them down to coat. This is a ZX caliper I just finished up for my 510 wagon project. Its a new white texture that has a pearl look to it. It hides the casting marks.
  6. Glad to see that this is coming to an end, thanks to some help from a fellow hybridz'er, Dayz. Ditto what Mark said... things like this is what makes this board so great !
  7. If the upper holes were filled in and the mating lines filled in and smoothed out, it would have turned out better... The way it is now.... too busy...
  8. Congrats Mike !!! , One day I would like to officially own and run my own company (full time) Can't get rich working for someone else !!
  9. Nice work on that car.... and really low slung too boot I bet it handles the twisties with ease !
  10. Nice... Seek and Destroy !! I haven't listened to that in a while... love that tune ! Liked most of the songs from that album (actually anything before the black album)
  11. Nope... Unless you got some ultra hot running calipers !!!
  12. Fender vents look great on Z's I've wanted to put a set on mine, but I cringe when I think about cutting up a decent fender
  13. Nice looking Mike.. The clear gives it a nice reflection.. The silver looks a little grayish, but I know that a lot of powders don't look anything like in person !!! I have some colors that I absolutely cannot get to display on a screen right. I've got a L18 cover and a Z24 (Nissan) cover I need to get done for some sample shots. I think I might do the L18 cover in BRE style colors. eh... something different, although the more colors go on any particular part.... the more chances there are to completely screw up the entire job

    Snake ID

Yup... looks like a corn or milk snake...
  15. I've been contemplating getting a tattoo for quite a while.. can't decide on a particular one though... A good friend of mine is even the owner of Ink Link tattoos in Charlotte... you would think I would be covered in them by now
  16. I like that color... My paint but I might be biased a little.
  17. Am I mistaken or is the windshield and the windshield trim the same for a 280 ZX coupe and the 2+2 ?? thanks
  18. Kinda has the look of the black interceptor from Mad Max
  19. Moosehead BEER is pretty good... not the lager.. and its made in my old hometown
  20. Nice work... A few years ago I had a '68 Camaro with a 396 (4 bolt block) 2 - 4's, Weiand high rise intake, roller rockers, etc, etc...that was originally white like that... It was primered black and then sold ( women ) When the car was sold I kept looking between the cash in my hand and the car driving away Kinda wish I had kept it. It wasn't an RS or have a front end like that.... but I still liked it..
  21. I can see his point on ordering from a shady company. Seeing that it might be possible to get parts that no one else carries. I have been guilty of ordering things like that before... but I do everything I can to avoid being out the $$$ in case something bad happens... somewhere inside you though, is saying that it might be possible to get that particular part, and you just can't help yourself....its worth the risk.
  22. If you really need a high torque, lightweight starter. Try Ted at http://www.tsimportedautomotive.com/starter0.html I got one of his units after trying a couple of ZX gear reduction starters that wouldn't turn the engine over very well.. The starter that came from TSI is a very nice unit and could pull stumps out of the ground. Starts my car without even a hiccup.
  23. yikes... that's not good if its coming from a school that teaches auto mechanics
  24. Nicely done... I hope to start fabbing up some fiberglass pieces for the wagons interior when its time
