  1. You don't want to chrome aluminum. take it from someone who has inherited a chrome plated alum intake. not sure why but every time i have seen someone plate aluminum it peels. Even the people that do the plating wont back up the work. Paint or powder coating is the best. If the engine is going to be a show piece and never really ran then plating will be OK. I'm guessing it's the heat/cool expansion and contraction of aluminum that causes it.
  2. Well I'm going down Wednesday to pull teh motor out of the black car and plop it in the red car to get measurements for the trans tunnel. This guys shop business is picking up and he wants to finish my car quick!!! I will try to snap any progress pics and get them posted
  3. yea they were but only to a select few. Nice piece too bad i was on his ♥♥♥♥ list at the time
  4. I will be doing the same with both my Zs just havent decided on metal or glass. Subscribed
  5. NOt to mention a 6 rotor would be like 6 foot long
  6. Anyone have pics of Zcars that use a 16 or 17 inch rear wheel with drag tires in the 29-31 inch diameter range. I'm shopping for a set of wheels that will be installed for street driving then swap them out for draglites once at the track
  7. That is exactly how i'm going to do my rear quarter panels except mine will cover up 31 inch ET streets!!!. thanks for the pix
  8. I will take a left and right how my h shipped to 84075 Utah
  9. When your in photobucket just click on the line that says IMG CODE then come to whatever thread and post a reply in the test section paste the IMG code you copied from photobucket.. its thats easy
  10. What kind of "petrol" you guys runnin down under???? Most places in the states 93 oct is the best you can get. there are places you can get 100 oct but they are not common.
  11. If they are too long you will push the grease cap out on one end or the other. If you have a way to run the suspension thru its full travel i would try that. I had no issues other then the axles being put together backwards when i have the driveshaftshop build mine.
  12. How far up do they bond on? I need them to go to at least the stock body line that is inline with the door handle
  13. either the stock, or subtleZ slightly wider then stock looking fenders. If i go with anything wider it will drive needing new wheels to fill the gap. how much do you think they will cost. the subtle Z fenders aren't outrageous but i would like to find something a little less expensive. Oh yea not in a big hurry but the chassis builder is starting and i will need then in a month or so.
  14. Yep need a set of left and right rear 1/4s. very interested in the subtle Z quarters but at this point anything will do. PM me with what you have or post it here and i will be in contact with you.
  15. GODDAMN!!!! I love how that thing launches. you gotta send me your secrets
  16. No video that sounds like some crazy runs
  17. Well since the question was asked... and i thought i posted it in the original thread. The issue The skyline drive shaft doesn't bolt up to the z r200 diff. What i did was take the skyline r200 diff drive shaft input shaft and swapped it with the Z r-200. i simply used and impact to remove the nut. tapped out the input shaft, slipped on the skyline flange and torqued it down.
  18. You need the input shaft from the diff the drive shaft originally mated to. In my case i went to the junkyard and got r32 diff input shaft and swapped the stock r-200 diff input with the r32 diff. worked great. I'm pretty sure i mention this in my so you wanna swap and rb thread.
  19. Man if i could download all my Z stuff in a week I'd buy it. I have too much going right now. If you are someone thinking about doing an RB swap in a 240 you need to snatch this car up. even just a mediocre rb26 build in a decent shell would cost this much. The motor alone would cost 10-15K to build up. Anyone wanna buy my 2 Z's???
  20. Wow if someone gets this for 25K thats a steal
  21. mike if i remember correctly i got my hands on an other rear inlet and capped off both blowoff connections. But i ran open turbos most of the time. Try putting the rear inlet on heont turbo and see how it fits.
