  1. Get a front and rear cut GTR. Take a Z body to a chassis builder along with the gtr cuts. measure the stock locations on the gtr, build a tube frame chassis for the gtr parts then put the Z body on it. Thats what i plan on doing someday when I'm rich
  2. Sorry if this is already out there BUT i could not for the life of me think of a ket word that would produce any results. I need some measurements off an 88 turbo 2 seater. The measurement i need a in the diagram below. Most important is dimension A and F. Can anyone help me out. Basically I'm trying to figure out if the wheels i have now are going to work with stock brakes.
  3. I have z-31 spindles on my car and hate how far out the wheels sit. if you are talking about something that would fix this i would be interested. i would also be interested in info on smaller brakes that would bolt on to the z31 strut. My current setup (Z32 calipers on z31 struts) need 1.5 inch spacers for 3 inch wheels to clear the calipers.
  4. hey im tryin to learn about z cars i love em and i need to know how to drop my fuel tank and reattach it after im done doing fixing and patching. can you give me an idea of how to drop the entire tank out from the car and its a registered 74 but november made 73 260z? thx -260z

  5. Here are pics on a S30. My car has z31 spindles and z32 brakes. You can see how even with 3.5 inch wide rims the spacer required also required the overfenders!!! I will end up running a regulare size 5-6 inch wide rims with the right offset and backspacing to keep the tires under the fender
  6. Too much and i don't care to list it out as it will only piss me off!!!
  7. You can go 2 ways. order a set of draglites and run a 2 inch spacer or you can order as set of bogart wheels that have that spacer welded on. i did both on my s30 (has z32 brakes) and it looks funny. Some of the more expensive drag wheels offer a larger backspacing of 2 1/4 inch but they are 400+ per wheels and you will still have to run a spacer. thats all i have been able to find. I think mazda has a spare tire rim that has allot of backspacing but not too sure you want to run a spare tire rim on a drag car.
  8. No panels are waiting till the chassis is done then all will get painted
  9. My motor has come out of the black car and gone into the red car now for tranny tunnel fabrication. I'm going to Nellis for 2 weeks starting tomorrow and when i get back it should be a lot further along
  10. stock r-200 LSD with CVs that wouldn't hold together. now its getting a backhalf.
  11. 11.138 @ 127 MPH to be exact!!!! 15PSI on stock turbos 680cc injectors SDSEFI Rb26dett
  12. Finally got some pics. Here is the progress. Its amazing how seeing just a little bit of progress spikes your interest in a project.
  13. Are there wires on the tach that need snipped? the autometer tachs you have to cut a combination of wires. If it makes you feel better i could get mine working either:icon56:
  14. Thats a crazy looking track. tree in the shutdown area. looks strong
  15. I'm going to do a side exhaust when my chassis is done ...subscribed
  16. Yea i need a shipping quote. working on the cut lines now.
  17. I need 4 yes 4 rear 1/4 panels. 2 lefts and 2 rights Im going to put both Zs i have back to stock wheel openings. i basically need the panels cut out in front of the door jamb seam, cut above the seam above the 1/4 window and cut at the seam where the taillights are. basically what im looking at doing is drill all teh tack welds out and peel teh skin off and weld it on to my car. Anyone have any cars they are getting ready to cut up. they need to be pretty straight little to no rust and not alot of bondo. thanks
  18. OK you do definitely deserve recognition. BUT looking at just time slips. you have more MPH but he 60 footed just over a 10th better then you. If you both cut perfect lights and ran you exact slip the times would have to go out to the 4th digit to determine a winner. and you would need the mph to catch him. If you sort to highest HP your #1, if you sort to best MPH your #1. Not sure why it posts 1 fast Z him as number one with the same ET maybe it has to do with date posted???? At any rate i would have to say you are the fastest non v-8 z in the world period. I have actually seen faster v-8 Zs they are just not here. )n the other hand i have never seen an import based z car even close to your car.
  19. oh yea you can sort by MPH. if you do that you are #1 !!!
  20. not an expert rob and i am for sure a rb fan but i think the list is setup by ET judging the 2 slips IF you both had identical reaction times it would have been really close at the line. He has you at the 1/8 but with the higher MPH you real him in by the end. Would for sure be a good race
  21. here is a video of it before i got the fuel problem fixed... BTW we all thought it was an ignition problem cause on the dyno it was not leaning out and the exhaust temps were not getting too high. thanks to the gas. as soon as we replaced the filter (earls 3 PSI carb filterX2!!!!) it instantly went away. we had to totally re-tune the map after that.
