  1. My downpipe is 24 inches long and im running an open wastegate!!! So yea the pump being loud isnt going to bother me at this point ;>
  2. If that is the one available from germany special order then yes. If not then no i dont know what the model number is other then it was rated at 800HP
  3. R2ing the current bosche with a weldon!!! shouldnt have any problems:grin: http://www.weldonracing.com/product.phtml?p=11&cat_key=6&prod=DB2015-A_(-12_inlet_and_-10_outlet)
  4. Labor day weekend is when i will be at the track again and i will HAVE VIDEo Stay tuned
  5. WELL BOYS THE NOS DID The TRICK!!!!! 6000 rpm and 22 PSI on the brake This ♥♥♥♥♥♥ is gonna rock!!!
  6. Well it's official 175 shot is going on as i type this. Going to start at 75 shot only on the brake to see if it launches and holds booste. it only goes up from there ;> maybe take it out 100 feet later on teh 175 shot that just sounds fun :>
  7. I just got orders there and was wondering if there are any fellow RBZer's
  8. Cell is vented, the pump is mounted almost directly to the cell via a 90 degree -8 an fitting.
  9. The fuel pressure is set at 45 PSI. It ramps up to 60 PSI under boost then once i get in the higher rpms under boost it trails back off to 40PSI. the injector duty is 100%+ in spots and I'm running 1000cc injectors using 104 unleaded race gas (sunoco) . the injectors should be more then enough for this application. the cycle is getting maxed because of the pressure drop. here is my list of things to do one at a time to see what fixes it. install fuel system dampener and see if that helps. cut one line out of the split and supply fuel rail with one -8 line. OR reduce the split to -6 lines to the rail. (both of these options will flow enough fuel to support my power last is to replace fuel pump with something bigger. the current fuel pump in it is rated to handle 800hp easily so not sure what is going on here but we will fix it. My voltage issue was resolved by bypassing the switch box. the fuel pump is wired directly to the battery. and voltage is maintained at 13+ thru the entire run.
  10. Well going to install a fuel system dampener to see if that helps with the pressure loss. if it doesn't going to downsize the 2 lines going to the rail. I suspect that the one -8 splitting into 2 -8 may too much for the pump to handle at hi RPMs. if that fixes it a 75 shot is going on and will be at the track labor day weekend
  11. The copies i used were the tial 60mm blow off. and the copy of the HKS 60mm wastegate. all have held up fine. I'm also using the ebay 4inch think intercooler that is also working great up to this point. Made 600 at the wheels on the dyno and this weekend made a 140MPH pass. The exact same wastegate and blowoff im using i have heard from other that they leak and didn't hold boost. But like careless said i tore mine apart and inspected it to make sure everything was good. I used these parts in a very controlled environment and also had alot of safety (ECU settings) to prevent damage if something fails. Now i did at one point buy an exhaust manifold just so i could have one that LOOKED GOOD. but it didn't fit. i have also heard the same on the intakes. it takes allot of massaging to get some of them to work.
  12. Well i was intimidated about all the "zcars are unstable above XXX speed" comments. this weekend i went 140 MPH in the z and it was straight as an arrow with no feel of on the edge heres a video
  13. I don't really want to go with the NOS. to expensive to maintain. here is the slip breakdown 60 foot 2.3 330 foot 6.32 594 foot 8.36 1/8 et 8.79 1/8 mph 104 1/4 et 12.2 1/4 mph 140
  14. Well we fixed the voltage drop problem. but that didnt fix the miss. it looks like im leaning out. going to have to upgrade the pump and oh yea get the converter restalled, ITS WAY OFF!!!!! And the best run of the day a 12.2 at 140MPH!!!! no supra jokes please :lol_hitting:
  15. Well ironed out most of the bugs today prior to going to the track tomorrow. the 2 step works BUT the stall doesn't. converter is only stalling to 3K. MUST have at least 5K if i have any hope of getting any kind of respectable 60 foots. I will say however that when this bad boy hits the boost holy-crap hold on. i went out on a side street today to see about how far the car will go before boost comes on and it kind scared me the first time because i wasn't ready for it. The second time i gritted my teeth and stayed in it longer and well 24 PSI feels strong as HELLLLLL!!!!!! I cant wait to get it on the track. will have video so stay tuned
  16. any updates on this turbo upgrade. Im going to the track tomorro to see how mine does >
  17. You dont have a 13 inch wide contact patch either
  18. Here ya go See if you like my version of your video... go full screen and turn up the volume this sounds awesome.
  19. oh you want burnout vids :> Will have more video next weekend from the track!!!!
  20. one more for good measure. This one was the funnest :>
  21. Well no dyno video but here is some fun stuff. Spent more time doing wire then was expected and teh next guy showed up so we are just going to the track. teh convedrter stall is way off to. still only stalling at 3200:icon_frow
  22. Well gents the day has come. I'm off to the dyno. Getting the seat mounts and fender reinforcements welded in, then strapping down for one last attempt to get the Rb dialed in for its first run down the track next weekend with the new setup. If all goes well i should have some pretty decent dyno footage. If not i will have some footage of the last time i will have it running for a while. I'm moving in December ( not sure where yet... damn military) and really need to get squared away for that. Recap First trip blown HG.... Previous owner of the motor reused it!!! Second trip spun... #1 rod bearing...previous owner had issues with it also. fixed that problem with a new r33 crank and brian crower rods. Third trip screwed around trying to fix a voltage drop/ignition problem that ended up being a loose connection:icon50: Wish me luck guys i really want to get this thing down the track but if anything else happens to delay it i may have to lock her up in the trailer (again) let her sit till i get settle in at my new location.
