  1. There is one in Alaska and it ran an 11.8 @ 119!!!! it showed up for a Wednesday TT and surprised everyone. It was a rumor someone had one up here till it showed up and everyone took pictures > 5-10 years that motor will be as sought after as the rb26 is now. Although the technology in the engine and drive train may make it difficult to put in another chassis.
  2. Was stationed on okinawa (where i built the red rb26Z) then moved to alaska.
  3. I have a CRS GM automatic adapter for an rb26. a stock rb26 boosting 15 PSI and say a 3000 stall would absolutely kick ass on the street.
  4. Yep pretty typical of a motor that has sat for a while. Mine was good while on okinawa. (running for 2 weeks) but once it made it here to alaska it went bad. Make sure you follow the FSM and torque everything to specs. I have seen way too many people loose timing belts because a boilt came loose after.
  5. That would be because you can disable the AWD during a burnout.... Its not painted with yellow stripes it's just how the scan came out.
  6. If you have the crank out and rebuilding the motor get a r33 crank (New) it will make the rebuild process much easier.

    rods?

    Im using brian crower rods. Making close to 800 crank HP with no issues. have made many dyno runs and 30+ trips down the track.
  11. Anybody care to explain how to get the auto meter tach to work off the engine harness. I'm using the HKS vpro and it doesn't have a direct tach output. i have to use the coil harness. i wired in a tach adapter according to the instructions but it didnt work
  12. Dude you should be getting more then 18PSI. Check to make sure you are hooked up right on your EVC. those have different settings when using external vs internal wastegate. then check your WG actuators. they may not be up to the task. may need to upgrade to stronger actuators. not sure going to a big single is your solution. but it would make you plumbing allot easier!!!
  13. NO the links above are as far as i know the only GTR conversion that has ever been completed. What application are you looking for ( drag, road race...) If your looking for a drag car application modifying the Z with a solid rear axle, is your best bet for going fast. there are a couple guys including myself well into the 9s and 8s running a solid axle. I will let Ripz post his videos if he wants. So lets sum this up. one one car ever modified, no one here on hybridz has done it, you are only going to get speculation on what it will be like to do it, SOOOO just do it and let us know how it goes. OR move on to another project.

  16. As far as i can tell, and i apologize if I'm incorrect, but you don't have a rbZ either ... SOOOOO what the hell are you posting in here.... Just joking. This forum is for rb tech. yea allot of use are Z car guys But there are quite a few guys with out Z but cars with rb's in them. the more the merrier. BTW your video on the search function is annoyingly funny
