As long as the block number dosnt look tampered with thats pretty solid. There are a handful of people here that can tell you the exact differences but if you go to http://www.zeroyon.com and ask that question you will have a page of diffrences in a couple hours. the site is based out of the RB homeland okinawa japan:biggrin:

The first one was sent to the tool shed because it was getting a tad on the personal side and was in the wrong forum. Keep posts of a technical nature and this one will survive if the argument starts up again on what engine is best ... it will go to the shed again. Thanks Stony

Do you have a part number on the vw struts you ordered for the front? or is it any vw rabbit strut insert will work ??? and how much shorter are they then stock Z strut. thru my search efforts i think they are about 2 inches shorter which would require 2 inches cut out of the Z strut housing. any pictures?

Is that thing gonna clear the hood???

The Mr2 struts are shorter. BUT you need them in hand before you cut your struts.

Nope the camber plates help adjust camber and get mounted in teh same location as the stock upper shock mount.

Yes i have that is second in line after haltech... just due to ease of instalation

That would be cool... need body measurments and how long the chrome portion is too. I really appreciate it.

Yea from what I have seen haltech is about 1/2 the price of motec for the complete setup what you need to run. Motec is very hi tech and has lots of options.... options that I really don’t need or want. All I want to be able to do is tune and data log egt, A/F ratio, booste, TP, you know the basics. haltech does it. Requires little or no fabrication to install. It uses the cam sensor for timing and works with all the stock sensors. I'm going to use there sensor kit if I install it to get rid of the older sensors. All that needs to be done there is drill and retap holes fro different sensors. So there you go that’s why I want to change. BTW the main reason I was going to change was I was leaving the area where the HKS pro tuner was and I was possibly going somewhere there was no tuner available. That has since changed since I posted this thread and i'm going to stick with the HKS Vpro fro now.

I'm going to guess that if the housing is shorter so is the chrome portion of the strut?

So the MR2 strut is shorter by 1.625 as stated above?

OK an 1.625 shorter may work. Is that the Vw insert listed above?

John are the front struts you mentinoned above actually shorter then the stock front strut length? I need a strut that is about 3 inches shorter then what the stock fronts are.

HAHA little too late. received the struts i thought were going to be 3 inches shorter then the stock front struts. removed spacer and they are exactly the same length as the one i have. If i had read this thread well enough i would have understood that they are teh same struts .... oh well Anyone have a good or bad set of the Mr2 struts???? same story as above. i want to test fit everything before buying a new set a and wasteing money on something that wont work.

DUDE!!!!! I looked thru your album....i wish you would have asked me about that manifold and turbo combo. I had that same manifold on my original rb25 with a t04S and it hit the framerail. you will need a topmount manifold for a turbo that size.

Dont think there is a single Hybrid 350Z on this board. I may be wrong but i dont think so. So do it and post your results.
