  1. Keith - I wish we lived closer so we could discuss these ridiculous ideas over a cold one. That being said....... I'm about to get hitched!
  2. you should add the setup to your sig so i don't have to ask every time! glide? what stall?
  3. the smaller strut tubes (240z) came with the 6" sleeves.
  4. Ouch. Looks like a flux core weld also. What a mess. I feel for you man..... Just another great reason why I don't like to let other people work on my stuff. I used a string to align them when I put mine in, and they turned out OK.
  5. If you're referring to the F Body gas tank, yes. SEVERAL people have done this with success. The main problem is the fuel filler neck is on the wrong side, so you have to turn the tank 180* to maintain functionality. This makes fuel go away from the pump under acceleration. Not sure what problems people are seeing, but for the work involved, I'd sooner do a cell, or a fab'd tank like mine.
  6. Quite the opposite really. Too much pressure, and just blows oil. Its a push/ pull system also, and needs an oil separation at some point.
  7. Thanks, Nullbound. I might also mention that I had all the vent holes other than the bung holes welded up at the same time. haha. Also, I had the welder put a baffle in the pass side to keep from sucking oil. Has been working awesome.
  8. 1 x -10 line from each valve cover to a vented catch can. Simple and effective.
  9. Two words: Catch Can. Either that or bad valve seals. WIth the mileage on your engine, I'd say you're just pushing oil back through the intake (stock PCV system is a joke). I used to have TONS of oil in my intake. Since I switched to the CC, not a drop. Couldn't be happier.
  10. You should just chrome plate your car.... save on paint!
  11. This topic has come up several times.... Quick search reveals.............. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/113994-clutch-hydraulics-question/?hl=%2Bclutch+%2Bline+%2Blength
  12. They check SNELL certs at every track here. Keith, if I had the money, I'd have a big surprise for everyone.... but I don't. So i might just get a cage.
  13. That must be one of the dumbest tech crews on the planet. That car is hideous btw. at least put a flare on it!
  14. I noticed some big end stability in my Hoosier QTPs over the ET drags.
  15. OH. Yeah, Mine does that. Every T56 I've ever been around does it. Not really a concern, you just have to drive around it - if you know what I'm saying.
  16. Uh? I've had plenty of CV's apart. There is no spring that holds tension.... At least in a Z31, Z32, S13, Q45, Porsche 930 CV
  17. HAH! You must forget I live in Iowa - there arent very many tracks that close to me. That track is an hour away, I've been warned at the one 2 hours away, and the next closest one is also 2 hours. Doesn't really make for a fun trip to drive 2 hours each way only to make a couple passes.
  18. Fairly sure the clips stay in the diff on this style of stub. It wouldn't be physically possible for them to come out even if they were indeed missing.
  19. First post.... Might not be mobile Thats way cheap.
  20. NICE! I really like your transmission crossmember. I'll be copying that to some extent when I re-do mine. Where the crossmember bolts to the body, is that just a metal - metal junction, or is there a bushing in there as well? Side note : your frame rails are in WAY better shape than mine. I think thats at the top of the list for me this winter. 1. Frame rails / subframe connectors, 2. Cage.
  21. you know you don't HAVE to go to the strip EVERY weekend. I'm lucky if i make it once a month with everything I have going on.
