  1. I use a GPS simply because I know my speedo doesn't read correctly with my tire/diff combo.
  2. we knew about half a year ago: http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/112293-tokico-woes/ But now you can go with Koni's which are better, and get stiffer springs
  3. Basically it depends on how you do it. 2 5/8's will fit if you remove the original gauge holder inside the hole and jam them in, and 2 1/16 will work if you want to retain the original cup gauge holder.
  4. what is the timing at? could also be a skipped tooth from the 280zx dizzy install. I would invest in a fuel pressure gauge, and possibly a wideband.
  5. I have progressive, I'm 23, and I pay about $700 a year for my 1980 280zx and 1993 240sx. I'm have the most basic insurance possible though.
  6. Prices are way over inflated in FL, and the east coast in general. search in los angeles and Phoenix.
  7. That's zombie z or something, he is somewhere in this thread with the offsets and tire sizes.
  8. Probably too rich if you're popping, although it could also be lean popping.
  9. https://www.facebook.com/SoCaL.DaTsUn
  10. Get some stiffer springs also. The slop can also be attributed to worn bushings, tie rods, and ball joints, so I'd check those
  11. NO there isn't a company that makes new diffs. There are companies that sell LSD centers, but I'm guessing you are planning on doing drag racing with that engine. You should look into techno toy tunings r230 install kit. That will be bulletproof, but you'll need to source an r230 from a newer 300zx turbo, along with axles and whatnot.
  12. Looking to get a known good megastim or at least just borrow one (I'll pay the shipping fees) with a power source to test out a megasquirt II kit. I can't justify spending another $77 for an assembled unit that I will use just to get familiar with tuner studio and then never use again once megasquirt is installed. PM me if you have one. I'm located in FL.
  13. something with metallic. Really brings out the lines. Like a metallic blue.
  14. For the 3 parts cars I've harvested from, I have never registered them, just bought and then scrapped. Make sure the PO signs it though because when you get a junkyard to pick up the shell, they usually need the title. Or at least it makes it easier for them.
  15. People have done that before. You still have a massive area up front though. I would have also opted for the solid airdamn, not the one with duct holes. The "battle S30" also has an angled radiator. http://www.speedhunters.com/2010/02/car_spotlight_gt_gt_woodvillage_s30/
  16. No, and there are threads on why in the drivetrain section.
  17. The 531 do not look that good in person. I've mostly seen them on 240sx's though.
  18. Yeah they were at JCCS, meh. I'd probably rock the longchamp knockoffs before these
  19. Why does it matter if its a series 1 or not? Sounds like you're modding it, so the originality factor goes out the window.
  20. I'm sure someone would want to refresh them, but don't expect to make a ton. Maybe like $40
  21. Triples just sound awesome though.
  22. You should be able to width wise. I test fit a 275/45/17 on the back of my ZX and it fit, but would rub at launches. i just checked your tire size and it is even larger in diamter than the one I was running, so it may interfere with the wheel well under any kind of compression. Here is a pic of the backspacing, the rim was effectively -3 so right near 0 offset. And the overall look.
