  1. Well they're XXR's, so they're cheap. I know a few people that get them and are fine with them. Not sure if you're asking about the product or just if you trust ebay shopping or not though.
  2. Probably put the springs in wrong. Go to that shop, tell them they better fix it and never go there again. You can get away with the kyb's and lowering springs, just don't drive over potholes and speed bumps at 50mph
  3. Also go with walboro 255. They always seem to pop up on forums never new never used and cheaper than msrp.
  4. Why am I the first to ask for pictures? All questions answered but I'd like to add maybe check/replace all the bushings. Could be cause of vibration (although I doubt it since its only when slow). Give it a real good tune up.
  5. Tokico illuminas and some tokico springs. Nice drop, still comfy and handles wayyyyyy better than stock.
  6. No it won't be legal, but can you get away with it? yes as long as you don't drive like a jackass. HP increase? no if you didn't do anything else to the system you probably wont be getting anything (unless your current exhaust has rust build up blocking flow) I had a 3" straight pipe to a turbo muffler that was loud as an elephant and I passed cops many times going speed limit without problems. On another note I did get pulled over in my 280zx for a "modified exhaust" but I had Florida plates and the guy just let me off with a warning since he didn't want to do paperwork I think. This was in SoCal.
  7. The stock guages normally suck, and on top of that at idle an L normally generates 10ish psi of oil pressure. Could be a reason its reading next to nothing. As for the oil change, Chevron probably used their crappy brand oil. If you're just driving around town it should probably be fine, but I would never take it there. You should find out what weight oil they used. Probably 10w-30 or 5w-30. Service manual says 20w-50 for reference.
  8. Gotta catch em all! are you collecting diffs or something? just poking fun
  9. I don't think anyone has ever cut into the space time tunnel, at least not in our time! Edit: anyway this thread is about to sent to the whooping shed because this topic has been beat to death.
  10. WEll if they are anything like the Champion radiators ( they probably are) sometimes they have defects, such as pinhole sized leaks. Cyngus I believe ran a few of those and all he had to do was weld over the hole. Not a major problem, but not something you want to waste time on normally.
  11. Completely depends on how they were imported. And no they are definitely not illegal ( as much as California's skyline witch hunt makes them appear to be). I know two people that go to my school that have them registered in Florida.
  12. I used marvel mystery oil. Worked fine for 2 years for me.
  13. Same thing happens to me when I park at school. I get there early and park in a shaded spot relatively far away and other nissans seem to congregate around my car. This guy left a business card saying my Z looked "mean" lol. Cool guy though
  14. The only pic of my 280zx with a hitch. I had it installed by uhaul before I had to drive cross country and take my furniture with me. It was like this funny Z/tetris shape and they used 4 giant bolts and ran it through my rear trunk area. edit: please ignore the horrible wheel fitment
  15. The teeth look fine so its probably just old dry oil scum
  16. Well they may have power going to them that, if you cut them in a bundle, may contact and melt/fry your wiring. At least cap them with heat shrink or something.
  17. Yeah I've been at that stage for ever.... I mean I let a shop do my oil change now ( I supply the oil) for $10 because I'm usually lazy and I get it inspected since I normally do 3ish autoX days inbetween. On top of that, you already had to deal with ish like this with the ZX. So its not fun just tedious.
  18. Yeah but you send them your strut tubes and they basically do all the welding and stuff. Also it doesn't include the camber plates, which will need to be welded in. Not worth it in my opinion since you could get the same work done, with better shocks for a more badass setup. Ultimately if I wanted to do an s30 suspension setup, it would be with koni yellow 8610 and some stiff a** GC coilover springs/sleeves. Plus all the fancy adjustable control arms etc...
  19. Components in the engine bay look surprisingly clean. And I'm digging that disco ball
  20. There are posts about people making new ones in this thread. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/102501-spray-bar-mia/
  21. I think what he is asking isn't about what the grind difference or power difference will be, but if he can swap the p79 cam which is internally oiled into the N42 head, which IIRC is NOT using an internally oiled cam If it is then you're good to go if, if not I believe you can run it with the oil spray bar and be safe. Someone with better data please chime in. Or fransico you can search. edit: found it. It is NOT internally oiled which means you need to run the spray bar
  22. Safety is a main point in chump car series so safety items (roll cage, seat belts, window nets etc..) have an unlimited budget. It also depends on the event. I believe most of them require it.
  23. What were you running before? With my friends car we got it running again after sitting for 5+ years with about 5 gallons of 87. After we got it for the most part running reliably, he threw in some 101 octane to balance it out and "clean out" the lines and tank. Well it worked too good and gunked everything up and caused many headaches.
