I think that's the plate in between the engine/tranny or something. Also double check the started is lined up. Might want to take it off and check the teeth on the flywheel. I'm assuming the timing was not changed at all when you swapped the motor.

Go with megasquirt, get used to it, learn how to tune and diagnose it, Then down the road you will be able to swap any engine into your car with minimal effort to the wiring. I bought a complete unused megasquirt system for $400. It's still sitting on my shelf.

I actually have a L28et long block sitting in my garage in "storage" I took most of the other parts with me (Shaved N42 intake, Exhaust mani, used fuel rail and 550cc RC injectors with me to cali) Also have a holset H1C and "everything you will need"(from the guy I bought it from, but I verified it and if should be everything) to hook it all up. If you want the long block I can give it to you for $100. Plan was to drive out with it, but didn't have enough space. It does have a blown headgasket, but it only had 96k miles. PM me if you want to work something out. I'm not going to be using it anytime soon. And I can throw in the engine stand for $30 more.

I have a sparco Fighter seat and the shoulder boltering is 23.4" wide IIRC. It's about an inch or two too wide. I want a set of Sparco Tec seats since they have less shoulder bolstering.

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=jet+coating Jet coating is basically a ceramic thermal coating that keeps heat from penetrating into the metal. It is on the outside and inside, which is the important part. Wrapping any set of headers will "trap" heat within the wrapping, which could lead to cracking if you buy some crappy made headers. I was quoted by a local muffler/welder shop that coating my 6-1 headers was $100. Since I got them with my car it would be cheaper than buying MSA's coated headers at $250. I didn't know that a pair of headers for a V8 is that cheap. In my opinion jet coating would be a more permanent solution, if you plan on keeping the car for a long time. You can polish the coating and make them look better and I don't like getting fiberglass all over me (wear protective gear if you wrap headers) because it itches like hell

Why wouldn't you do both? You might run into issues with piston clearance if you use stock pistons, which is why people use different pistons (KA24) when stroking the L28. I wouldn't know with an RB though. I feel like you could sell that motor to a S13 fanboy and use that to getting a real RB25.

Just wondering, but how do you guys get the frame into a rotisserie? Just attach the ends to an engine hoist or something and do one side at a time?

I got some open ended Blox lugnets with that thread pattern. Said they were for a subaru. That was the thread on my 280zx studs and I'm guessing the s30's also
