  1. Probably not but its something that you can easily add later if you get too much kickback.
  2. That's the first time I've been able to undercut jdmwerks. Whoo Hoo! Now I can raise my prices! And yes, I can answer questions about the product.
  3. Fire would be one reason to have a sheet metal bulkhead of some kind between the fuel tank and you and your passengers. Third degree burns hurt.
  4. To properly adjust the hood you also need to adjust the front fenders and headlight buckets. To properly adjust the front fenders you need to adjust the doors. Start by getting the doors adjust properly compared to the rear 1/4 panels and rockers. From there work forward to get the front clip and hood properly adjusted. All of the above assumes the car is straight and hasn't been wrecked and improperly repaired.
  5. So, an OEM production crank, turned out by the tens of thousands, with 202K miles on it, is within tolerance (by 50%) in all measurements and you're wondering what might have caused it to not be perfect? You must spend time every week carefully sorting your sock and underwear drawers.
  6. Its a nightmare and the few who have tried gave up and sourced a different, non-liner head.
  7. No such thing as backpressure. There's just pressure, its neither backward nor forward. Without going into a lengthy explanation (which I've done in other threads on this site) a 3" exhaust is fine on your car if your header primaries are properly sized and the header has good merge collectors.
  8. Pretty much any dual axle trailer will have brakes on at least one axle. Do not buy a trailer without brakes.
  9. Any small pickup with a V6 will tow a 240Z on an open trailer just fine as long as the trailer has good brakes. The longer the wheelbase the better so an extended cab with a long as a bed as you can get makes things nicer and gives you more room for the inevitable "stuff" that goes along with racing. I would look at a used 2wd Toyota Tundra or Nissan Frontier extended cab long bed V6 auotmatic.
  10. I prefer Spank-um Berry. http://mpioil.com/renegade_scents.html
  11. Its a Nissan Motorsports header with a custom exhaust. I think its a one time sale and not a product line.
  12. Right now we won't set up yet another forum section for the how to's. Let's try a how to thread for each subject with links to various threads and then see how it goes from there.
  13. Cheap! Cobra Imola Pro S seats were $750 back in the day and I even bought the GT (wide butt) model for the passenger side. I offered to grease your ass up so you could slide into it but you demurred.
  14. Just create a thread and start posting links into it. Like I did here: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/84521-s30-roll-cage-examples/ As it grows I can make it a sticky.
  15. Are you volunteering to do the work?
  16. Snap-On started outsourcing to China 5 years ago. I used to weld their specialty automotive hand tools before they shipped that to mainland China.
  17. The answers are here and most are in the stickies and FAQ. Use the search function.
  18. They are just regular car guys who happen to be from Japan. Mr. Tomimatsu told me that after ripping up and down the street in his S30 (as seen the video) his neighbors called the cops, who showed up immediately. He played the whole "Who me?" routine and got away with it.
  19. Kill switch can be inside the car but you must run a cable or a rod from the switch handle to the end of the dash so a corner worker can kill the power without climbing in the car. With all the other stuff you've made Jon, a switch panel is dead nuts easy. You can do something like I did in the ROD:
  20. Takuya Tomimatsu, Yoshimasa Oka, and Sean Fenstermacher from OS Giken stopped by my shop yesterday and we talked about cars for a few hours. You will most likely see a TC24-B1 powered 240Z running here in the states within the next year. Mr. Tomimatsu is even thinking about bringing his TC24-B1 powered 240Z over from Japan and running it on a few west coast race tracks. This car: http://www.tomitaku.com/
  21. When I quote a price its generally a guess as to what a fabricator would charge a customer to do the work. Also, don't use cheap metal when you build the front lower control arms.
