Michael
Newsworthy or not, here we go: it's been 20 years since this site was founded! 20 years! How far have we gone over those 20 years, and has the direction been predominantly forward?

Now that i think about it its been 10+ years that ive been hitting that "unread content" button. lol Happy Birthday Hybridz!

And that's precisely the point that I've been lamenting now for several years. 20 years ago, something pithy and valuable would pop up every minute... weight comparison of different engines, a new method of mounting the differential, carburetor selection advice, dynamic compression ratio, JTR vs. Scarab weight distribution. This continued apace for maybe 5 years, before settling into a more steady maturity. Maturity inevitably led to senescence.

Michael
And here it is! HybridZ is now 21, fully and properly having attained the age of consent! Does this not call for a round of drinks? In all seriousness, folks... thanks to everyone, frequent or irregular, veteran or neophyte, or anything in between. The journey/saga/whatever continues! Michael
Yup, it's that time of year again! HybridZ is officially 22, which makes it what - a fresh college graduate? Time to enter the workforce? OK, informal poll: who here has been working on THE SAME CAR for 22+ years, and the vehicle still isn't road-worthy? Not quite 22 years but still wrenching on the same z since 2007! 🙃 Happy bday to HybridZ!
Mayolives
Looks like I've been around since 2003. So much good stuff to help keep these z cars alive and well. Sure hope we can keep it going for the next batch!
Nelsonian
I have been on and off with this 240z project since late '05/'06 and still in Fred Flintstone mode. Never giving up though like HybridZ.....

Michael
And there we have it! A full quarter century old! Old enough, to run for the US House of Representatives!
Michael
HybridZ is now 26! It's too old to remain on its parents' health insurance plan, and now needs a real-job, with benefits and maybe even a 401K plan. Anyone left here, who started working on their V8 Z project back in the 20th century, and is still wrenching on it? Anyone?

Thank you for those who help keep it going! I'm close to the 20th century (2004) since i started on my Z. Still going strong
FastFloridian
Happy Birthday HybridZ. I’m a little over one year into my V8 track build, this forum has been very helpful 💪
jhm
Yep, same here. I'm on my 8th build right now, and still have designs in mind for several future projects. Despite the advent of numerous social media platforms, we're still getting new members on a regular basis; and there are always nods to our forum from the social media pages for technical data, expertise, and assistance! I need to give a HUGE shout out to @SuperDan for keeping this forum going (even at his own personal expense); and all the dedicated Mods & Admins that put countless hours in over many years to make the forum what it is.
