  1. I thought I would update this thread with current and FINISHED pics of my CAI
  2. Needle and seats on order from Todd. Not sure if that is the issue, but used Mikuni's - I'm probably lucky I havent issues yet. Gonna check plugs tomorrow.
  3. Leon, Are you saying you were 11-12 AFR's WOT on this pull? Seems a bit rich-losing a bit of HP there? Don't give the up the duals man!
  4. So the weather cools off and humidity drops out- so mixtures should lean out a bit in carbed engines? Had my Mikunis dialed in for the hot and humid and this weather change arrives and my AFR's are suddenly piggy rich- confused! I'm guessing for some reason a cylinder is not running right or a carby is scewing up causing the richness- unless my understanding of air density is off. Time to pull some plugs and the CAI and look for fuel. It's always something:)
  5. MSA 6X2 header - dual 50mm pipes -crossover- resonators-dual magna flows(10") Made the exhaust myself
  6. You said you want to LISTEN to the Z community You were just told that there is a 99% chance you already have a r200, but you still think you have an R180 Good advice above to make sure of your chassis integrity before throwing money at the suspension. Good luck

  8. Leon, This reminds me of my quest to get ready for zcon 2010- stress was up there. I only had 300 miles to go, but worried every mile for the first half. Check- double check and pack plenty of tools!!
  9. Looked the stuff over, don't want any cracks. Thanks for the reply though
  10. Wish list; plastic interior panels for 73 or earlier. I just need the quarter window and quarter panel plastics. Color is not an issue, would prefer later years-heavier plastic. front windshield trim complete rear bumper ends, must be able to rechrome at minimum Inner vinyl pieces that cover inner rockers. I have lots of parts to trade or paypal-please send pics with your responses s_finnerty1018@comcast
  11. Check out RHDJAPAN. They sell extra wide rear flares, and their quality is supposed to be excellent.
  12. I think I'm done tuning for a while. Thanks for the help guys. pilots-67.5 main air-180 main fuel-155 acc. pumps-47, middle setting
  13. To experience pure L6 sound-use head sets!!
  14. What tranny? I have a t-5 I am dealing with a similiar situation and I don't know enough about trannys to know if my end play is okay or not. I'm going to take it to a tranny shop and have them look at it. As far as other possibilties, you said you looked under neath your car, I hope that was with wrench in hand. Not preaching here, but I just got egg in my face like Dan did because I found out a clunk was caused by a loose diff mounting bolt. Couldn't tell by looking, but it was almost two turns loose-and it made a lot of noise. Keep us updated.
  15. I thought I would close out this thread because is does relate to my ongoing issues. Using my recent discoveries of a bad halfshaft, I think I can safely assume that the shaft wobble was causing my whirling noise in the diff. I don't believe anything was wrong with the diff- though I had suspected sloppy side bearings. If they were a bit worn, the shaft just excentuated the issue. I don't have too good of a memory, but I distinctly remember hearing while laying in the hatch area --what now makes sense as a worn shaft. I know a lot of threads come up with these issues, that's why I am sharing my experience.

  17. High speed vibration is still there. Next course if action is: Have all tires balanced again Lower diff pinion another 1/4" to get it dead nuts Wait till this winter and pull engine and trans an have the rear tailshaft bearing checked Have flywheel and PP checked for balance as an assembly Say f$@k it an drive !!!- maybe this will be first
  18. I guess I just got lucky with my linkage , it couldn't work any better than it does. Used original firewall rods and made one additional bellcrank to connect to stock mikuni linkage. Good pedal feel, very sensitive- can blip the throttle like motorcycle all day and always returns to idle. I will be watching the center rod as mentioned
  19. Well I didn't fix the high speed vibration. It seems less and the deceleration vibration I had in third is GONE. All I have now is a rhythmic vibration at about 75-80, that can be seen in the mirror , but hardly heard or felt. So this is a speed issue more than rpm? Believe I still need to drop the diff 1/4" to get it dead nuts- is that the issue? Not trying to jack your thread-hoping input helps Hope your luck is also getting better
  20. RT TECHNO installed and angles came out less then 1 degree! No vibration at lower speed, try the fast stuff later. I still think the high speed was the halfshaft, but since I had 2 things going at once, hard to tell. That RT mount was a super tight fit, I barely got it in there. I had to beat it into submission.
  21. Looks like I might not have to!!!!!! I just around and no vibration in 3rd during deceleration. Techno version RT mount in and DS angles within 1 degree. Take her out on the highway next!!!
  22. How does one check that output bearing? I have the DS off. It seemed that with the DS installed I could get movement at the tailshaft. When I take the DS off, I can wiggle the output spline easily with two fingers-but I thought that was okay without the DS yoke on there. Like I said though, I can wiggle the DS yoke with the DS in the tranny How much is it to change that bearing?
  23. Wassup dude,

I'm interested in the mirror? What's the condition on it? Dies it have any crack? Also, what year is that grill for?

    Thanks

  24. If your that close to being to stock geometry, why don't you use the stock diffy mount and use the Techno version to sandwhich it with the urethane cone they supply?
