  2. Your A/F's could use a little adjustment. I'd lean it out to around 11.5-11.8:1 to keep it safe in the upper RPM's. You are losing power with the car running that rich. Also, see how power starts falling off after 5200? A good turbo cam may be in your future. That is where the stock turbo cam begins to run out of breath. Since you have the JWT setup, I don't know what tuning you can do... Good #'s though. 300rwhp is a handful in an S30
  3. The 4-lug mustang uses the same bolt pattern as the Datsun (4x4 1/2), so draglites are available for us as well.
  4. CONGRATULATIONS PAT!! I wish you a safe and enjoyable life as a naval aviator. TOP GUN baby!!
  5. awesome deal Terry!! Congrats!! It costs nearly that for a 2JZGTE longblock here in the states!! As far as parts, it depends on what you would want to use... Take that thing to the track over there and run it once for fun, just to see what it will do. Just remember to reset the ECU before you do though, just in case it has backed off a bunch of timing due to a poor tank of gas
  6. Anyone get any pictures of it? I didn't even know it was there...
  7. LOL!! Who says a little squat is bad?

    Very funny!! Thanks for posting
  9. Very cool!! thanks for the vid
  10. High bidder was the only guy who came and drove it. I figured whoever drove it would buy it
  11. Top qualifier in his class went 9.84 There are many classes with different rules, so it kind of allows people to be competitive. For instance, his class is limited to street tires, one power adder, 2600 lbs minimum for a 4 cylinder weighed after the pass, "stock bodied" cars (no partial chassis, no fuel cells, etc). He is in the same class as the pink and white WRX the girl drives (she was the #1 qualifier). He intends to be atleast low 9's. 300zx Z32 5-speed
  12. 'cause flight training is EXPENSIVE, not to mention it is hard to justify having 3 2-seater cars... I am holding onto the HRE's though as I am not interested in parting with them...
  13. Just a heads up for you SR20 guys, I was down in Moroso yesterday for the races and helping out the guys from Mazworx in the pits. Mark Mazurowski built an SR20det powered 240sx to compete in the Sport Rear Wheel Drive category in the series. The car was just started for the first time a week ago. He didn't have any time to get the car on the dyno and was doing all of his tuning on the track. The 5th pass on the car ever, he went 9.97 @ 146 mph. His race weight is 2650... If you plug the mph and weight into the 1/4 mile calculator, that yields roughly 650 rwhp... He trapped 114 by the 1/8 mile!! This was turbo only (Greddy T88) and roughly 30 psi. He plans on running 40psi and making > 800 rwhp before all is said and done.
  14. Torque of the mightly L6 destroys another unsuspecting performance clutch...
  15. Well, basically they are all the same internally, except for the cams (JDM Aristo motors came with smaller cams). The Aristo motors also came with a front sump pan as opposed to the mid sump pan. There are other differences once you get outside the motors (Map vs Maf, ecu's, smaller turbos on J-spec model, etc)
  16. Unless you are just dead set on the 2 1/16 gauges, most everyone here uses the 2 5/8 gauges, as they fit perfectly in the factory locations... Mike
  17. Thanks for the pics Brandon.
  18. A 2mm headgasket should get your compression down to run 6-7 psi...
  19. If the cam towers are not tightened properly or cam towers are out of alignment and the cam will not turn freely, then that could cause it. It may have had a flaw in the casting that eventually gave up the ghost too.
  20. Call Dave at AZC. I bet if you send him the rotor back, he'll take care of you.
  21. Totally depends on what you plan to do with the car. If you need all of the individual pieces for competition or high performance weekend car, then ABSOLUTELY!! If it is just going to be a daily driver, then probably not...
