  1. Just for what it's worth I've had a set of Ross's spacers 1.5" on my ZX for about 5 years now. I've done all kinds of racing and many hard street miles with them on. Personally, I think that anything of 3/4" needs to be the bolt on kind.
  2. Plano, is one of the nicer areas in the Dallas market. You'll be able to spend all of that equity and then some in the this area of town. I've never lived in that area but, I did work there for about a year and enjoyed the people and overall culture very much.
  3. There'a nothing wrong with the fiberglass bumpers but, you will need to be carefull. No dought your driving style will change some as you enter parking lots and things such as that. Why are you looking to reduce the weight of your ZX? For a daily driver there's not really that much that can be taken out or removed and it still all be functional. I guess it depends on what your willing to give up. Safety or Comfort? I disassembled most of my ZX at one time or another. Let me know what your thinking and I'll see if I can help.
  4. I have the Harbor Freight cheap chop saw and it cuts.....OK. I made a table top that had 4 90* angles on it and they were close but, not right. The best advise I can give is to go slow with the cutting. One day I hope to get one the band saws that Jon is talking about.
  5. That turned out good. I custom painted both my 12 & 9 year olds new welding helmets for Christmas this year. It was cool see how excited they were about it.
  6. I've got a set for my 280ZX they seems to fit fine. Certainly higher than the stok seats.
  7. That's a good deal if you need cheap paint.
  8. I love the launch those WRX's will do. MY friend once told me and my wife "You're really not supposed to do this but,,," He reved it up and launched it. Knocked my hat and glasses off the top of my head. That was fun.
  9. I've always thought that throttle body would be cool for low speed throttle reponse. I don't know the total area of the blades but, it might be a neat thing to play with.
  10. Sorry you asked for a kit so that's what I thought you wanted.
  11. Is it just me or do cool pics of Austins car keep coming up every month or so.
  12. The only kit that I know of is the HKS kit that can be purchased from a few retailers and independent shops. It not really the best priced option. If you looked at my web site I have a few pictures of the kit but, it's a little different than how it came from HKS. I would also suggest you do some searching here about the practicle limits with the stock turbo. Seems like about 15 psi is the most that guys run with it and that may be pushing it a little far.
  13. I recently upgraded from a 110v to a 220v welder and there is a huge differnce in power. Go with the MM175 you'll be glad you did.
  14. I think this guys issue is the budget. If your creative you can get the stuff for a good compressor for not alot of money.
  15. Great info Tony. Thanks. I've had several ideas like that but, it's nice to know that it would actually work and be of use before investing any time and money into it.
  16. Looks real good. Next time tack it up and then send it to me to finish weld. I'll finish it up and send it back. The UPS hub it on the way to work. I personally think to have it coated in a silver finish.
  17. I third the notion of the throttle position switch. You must cover the TPS and dist. before washing the motor.
  18. Any of you Texas guys the the one near Fair Park? I usally go to the Al's near there. I've had great luck in the past but, latley it seems to be a little thin.
  19. If you have a drill press it shouldn't be that big of a deal. Just get the right hole saw and go for it. I'm not saying it's a 5 minuite job but, it's not that hard is it?
