  1. NICE! That's almost the same one I have. I love it. The dang thing has paid for itself many times over. I use it for wood working mostly, but has quite a bit of metal duty as well. Good choice
  2. If you need any help working on it, let me know, I'm down for a road trip.
  3. The front looks like Homer Simpsons mouth when he burps.
  4. Under acceleration, the front of the differential wants to lift. With your listed torque, do you think the two metal straps could bend, fatigue and break? Maybe look into some gusseting? It's a good idea, but it just looks like there could be a problem.
  5. Wow, I must have been having a rough couple of days. I seriously don't even remember posting to this. Sorry Clifton! As far as what I stated above, I no longer consider headgaskets as a fuse.
  6. Looks like the front wheels need to move a little further outboard, maybe 1/2"?. The color of the wheels looked great when you didn't have flares, but now it looks like they should be the same color as the flares like Mark mentioned.
  7. A new pin from Nissan is about $30. Why take the chance and extra effort to save a few bucks?

Sweet, I'm banned too! I feel like such a rebel
  9. Looking good Jon! I've been watching this thread for a while now, and I must say, it's been informative. Thanks.
  10. Sorry, the "Datsun" patch group buy has ended more than a month ago. You can get them off of eBay though. If you are interested, I'm doing a run of "Hybrid Z" patches. I think the thread is still in the Non Tech forum. On a side note, the jacket I made gets so many compliments! Seriously! Never before have I worn an article of clothing that sparks a conversation with car guys and gals. I wear that jacket everywhere. My first compliment was at a beer depot, he said, "Nice jacket! Looks vintage." That made all the hassle worth it.
  11. Looks like he was trying to kick the back end out, maybe drift it. Like Jon said, not enough driver
  12. They are dark, but not too dark. Good work by the way.
  13. Richard, That's Mike Gibson also know as scca on here. He's been around for years. I've done business with him in the past and I definetly would again.
  14. Do not send any money yet. I will post here when I have the patches in my hands, then and only then, I will ask that you pay me. Just got word back from the guy and the price will stay at $7 per patch. This price does not include Paypal fees. I will set this up differently than last time. I didn't have the room in my private message inbox to keep everyones information from the Datsun patches, so most of it I had to delete. I will be going through my e-mail this time. When I have the patches here, which I was told it will be "three to four weeks maybe sooner", I will make a post about who owes what and how to pay.
  15. No, do not Paypal me any money yet! If we get a price break, then you don't have to pay as much. So just hold tight for a bit while I get this figured out with the guy I'm working with on this. Also, I was thinking, if you guys round up whatever your total is, the extra cash will be donated to Dan for keeping this site going.
  16. Love the name of the new one "trippen" Moby, they should be on the right side of your post box. Hey Dan, isn't there a button or something that you have to turn on in order to use smilies?
  17. Alright guys, the patch will be 4" wide by I think 1.75" or 2". We should know what's going on very soon. The price per patch shipped to your door will be around $7.00, I'm not sure if I get a price break yet or not. If I do, the savings will be passed onto you guys.
  18. I get this all the time from just about any vehicle I'm in. My truck is the worst though (cloth seats). EVERY time I get out BAM! A big blue spark jumps from my finger. Well, *cracks knuckles* I have been told I'm electric ...
  19. I'm not going to say "don't waste your time", because similar things have been done. For example, take an engine from a P-51 and build a car around it. Then, go drag racing!
  20. I forgot about this post, untill I saw it in our new Welding/Fabrication forum! May as well update it. The guy at the VERY LAST MINUTE decided to NOT trade . He needed the money and wanted $800 cash instead, which I just couldn't give up at the time. So, I didn't get the TIG welder
  21. It was a pick axe on his own car (that's when Flanders keeps getting shot at). Speed holes rule!
