  1. You could just get a standalone EMS, but you lose the VVT and a couple other small things.
  2. Theirs no design flaw. These cars where built over 30 years ago and live in very moist climates for the most part, combine that with hidden spaces between body panels with very little rust protection and you will have a car that rusts from the inside out. a Lancia is a perfect example of this.
  3. You got me on a good day.. The 280zx never got any form of LSD. The only LSD that is somewhat strait bolt in, is the diff from a 4/87 turbo 300zx.
  4. How about a red circular "z" emblem like what was used on the JDM z32's?
  5. Once the dog leg is cut out, you can cover it in POR15 or a rust inhibitor. The rust problems are mainly due to moister in the air and salt. These cars almost literally rust from the inside out, as most people who have cut up or repaired s30's have experienced this first hand. Also, just welding a new panel over the old rusty one is not repairing rust, but just masking it.
  6. Parts are harder to find for the RB20 in the US compared to the SR, there are alot more people familiar with the SR over the Rb20 in the US, while the RB is more efficient, it's about 50 pounds more then the SR and is alot longer and taller, dollar for dollar the SR is going to cost less for the same amount of mods. It's moot point though, as both motors are illegal for anything other then off highway vehicles.
  7. You need the exhaust from the rear cats forward, gas pedal and all of the computers and sensors that plug into the engine harness. Austin's vq-240z buildup can be found on here and is fairly detailed on what you have to do to swap in a VQ.
  8. Ditch the relay and get a ford starter solenoid. A typical relay usually isn't going to handle the amps required for the starter.
  9. I'm pretty sure I've got a good fiberglass headlight bucket, somewhere in the garage, I'll PM you tomorrow i I find it.

  11. If it hasn't already started, the floors will rust through eventually.
  12. Have someone hold down the clutch pedal, while you go around and visually inspect the system.
  13. You can also just spend about $100 and get new lines made with the old fittings to just about any length you need.
  14. Your better off tinting the windows and using a window shade that covers the entire windshield. I drove a black car, with a black leather interior in the summer with 118 being the average ambient temp and the biggest help was a reflective sunshade and a light tint all around (minus the windshield)
  15. Just do an RB25 off the bat, they are about the same price and you will notice the extra half liter.
  16. If you haven't yet, I would HIGHLY recommend taking a day or two to scrape all of the factory sound deadener from the floors and hatch.
  17. "Like a g6" isn't that a newer Pontiac commercial?
  18. I take it you haven't done any research on the RB series?

If we are capable of something like that 50 years ago in complete secrecy, imagine what we could do with todays technology.
  20. I'm a fan of the Taurus, but for full length 9mm's I've always like the springfields, Especially the XD9's.

This brings up one of those "If I had $150 million to spend" moments. Does anyone else in the world have a plane that can fly as fast and high as the SR?
  22. Here is what a REAL GTO sounds like. (someone want to post it in the comments of that other video?) Also here is what a REAL 365 GTC v12 sounds like http://www.streetfire.net/video/365-gtc-start-up-and-mild-rev_91434.htm
  23. You realize a complete cummins and nv5600 (or 727) weigh close to 1500 pounds right? they are also about 6-8 inches taller then an L28, if I remember right.
  24. If I can drift a 4 door diesel dually, then you sure as hell can drift a 2 and a half seat s30.
  25. Done, took me a few minutes to actually find you though.
