  1. Looking for a reliable source for new, or a good condition used aritaspeed gnose, their air dam kit will work, but prefer the full kit. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
  2. Is it just me or does the mph seem close to the old time that was almost 7/10 quicker?
  3. Each of those turbos siblings, the gt35 and gt42 have been covered here. You can also check out the angelfire extreme 280zx page.
  4. I would argue that an r888 is even more wide. I have seen a few z guys, and lots of Miata's running 205 r888's on an 8 or 9 with great results, but race radial tires tend to run a little wide. I thought we were talking street tires here, in witch case the 225/45 rs3 is about the best option for an 8 or maaaayyybbee even a 9. As far as what series stretches best there are entire forums dedicated to such and would suggest your time is better spent elsewhere seeking that vital information. You are right wide wheels look good, but the best part about them is they enable more contact patch.
  5. It was a great idea to put a roll bar in that Miata... completely negated by removing the doors. But the course looks like fun.
  6. I have a 74 booster in good shape, can deliver. Let me know pal.
  7. Not sure what a kouki is, or a zenki for that matter (though I don know a zonkey). But if they are of good quality and sell for less than people sell non cracked stockers for I'm in. As long as I can get lenses that look original.
  8. The rack and pinion conversion requires the cross member and tie rods and everything fyi. I have an intake manifold if you want it.
  9. The clock in my 79 stays on, draining the battery, even though the clock doesn't work. Haha
  10. I have a set in great condition, std. std.. Pay pal price is $150 shipped.
  11. I prefer the "X" over "A, B, C, D" because when you are traveling at speed and/or there are cars, pedestrians, dogs, curbs, trees around you it helps if you can see them.
  12. Haha... JonC's defcon 1 build made 320 flywheel for $18,000 through custom manifolds and Motec, but "you never know..".
  13. I would just get 280zx turbo axles. No extra parts needed.
  14. I have one from an l28, it still has some Datsun blue paint on it!
  15. There is an old race car builder here in GA that had a few for sale at some point, maybe a couple years ago. But he doesn't do internet, I'll check if he still has them.
  16. I'm pretty sure an Lgata went 9's NATURALLY ASSPIRATED in japan, in an s13. Hmmm, swapping an older engine into a newer chassis to go fast cheaply... sounds like the Japanese small block to me.
  17. I'll take a 4 pinion r160 over a 2 pinion r180. Though I've had no problems with my own 2 pinion r180 (3.36) as the old dried up 225/45's let loose too soon. I haven't tried too hard with the 330's as I have enough other stuff to fix.
  18. Subaru r160's are readily available in 3.54, 3.9, 4.44 and lsd is not that hard to find. They are stronger than an American Z car r180, significantly lighter than a 200 and more efficient. Many 510 guys road race them over 300 lb.ft. and I've seen Subaru guys drag race them with 400-450 whp and 3300 lbs. A few Subaru guys have problems with them at those levels, but they tend to have the extra 10% in the center diff.
  19. A stock p90 head, no porting, and 15psi makes 250 all day.
  20. zredbaron spun a dynojet to 264, a bit more compression (12:1), deduct about 3% for the reduction in compression and you have 256. This is what an optimized head/cam will do on a quality 3.1 with a very good header and theoretically too small 40mm carbs. The power is in the head, always has and always will be.
  21. The problem is with air going around the rad, instead of through it. I've seen a 5" intercooler in front of a 4" rad and NO cooling issues making more power than most guys here would consider sane. If everything is sealed properly and the air has no where to go but thru, it will go thru.
  22. Proper ducting air to and fro a heat exchanger will have a huge impact on the efficiency of the core. No matter the material of said core.
  23. I put "blocked grill" in the search box and three pages of results came up. There are several great reads on the first page.
