I know we have a few Kiwis on board (pun intended ), so I was curious if those that either live there or have vacationed there have any advice for a first anniversary trip? We've been thinking about where we'd like to go and the majority of people have recommended NZ. We're outdoorsy, and enjoy hiking and adventures, less so riding around on tour buses, staying in fancy hotels, and the like. The wife is a certified SCUBA diver and I loved snorkeling and diving in Hawaii during our honeymoon. I was pretty ocean-averse before that trip but I loved swimming in the tropics. I'm also a LOTR fan, so checking out some of the sets would be cool! I've done a bit of research and the plan is to do 1 week on North Island and 1 week on the South Island. Most suggest renting a vehicle of some sort and just touring around, camping, etc. I wouldn't mind doing some cool car stuff for at least a day (or as much as she can handle), and haven't had any recommendations for that. The biggest question would be what time of year to go? It doesn't have to fall exactly on the anniversary (8/31) or anything and I think we'd prefer something around summertime (winter here). Please feel free to brain-dump recommendations! Thanks in advance!

See if you can use some compressed air to get it out first. Use a nozzle with a long skinny tube that can fit into the booster and try to blast it loose.

I also have nice stock black seats from an early 260Z which fit all 240Zs as well. However, the driver's seat is torn on the outside wing. Not noticeable with the door closed, but obvious with door open. Passenger seat is in awesome shape. I'd do $200 picked up on those.

Thanks! I have another Z-car (see here) and lately I've been more focused on tracking the crap out of my S2000. I started tracking last November and since then I've done 6 days in the S2k and 2 in our shop's BRZ (I'm the driver in the autoX and track videos ). Seven out of eight of those track days have been at Sears Point, where our shop is based. Needless to say, I have way too much going on to have time for all these projects, let alone just maintaining these cars!

I have a brand-new Type 1 (Xenon) air dam without ducts in fiberglass that I'm probably never going to use. However, I'm in the SF Bay Area. Not looking to ship this thing at this time. Sorry guys, looks like I jumped the gun! I was told that we could get them but I spoke with our supplier today and was told that they are not in stock. Tokico is still trying to catch up to demand but they are manufacturing and delivering product about once a week. No ETA but it could be one week, could be a month... Once we have a steady stream of products, I will let you all know! FWIW, the HZ3038 (280ZX HP shocks) are in stock, I know we got an email about those.

Essentially. I'd just buy a new timing kit, should only run you $100 or so.

Pull the rockers and lash pads along with the cam, and keep each pad and rocker with its mating lobe.
