  1. Here they are... nutserts for new location... Bracket re-drilled New Location... Top New location All Done!!!
  2. So, I am wondering, what would the scenario look like if the same thing happened at say the Daytona 500 or some other huge NASCAR race? Something just seems very wrong to have fell through the cracks at this level. I don't get to watch too many of ANY racing but try when I get the chance. Are folks getting their $$ back? I think they are entitled some of it...
  3. $1 to the first guy to find an orange one w/ an "01" on the side...
  4. Couple comments... I like that he put it on another Nissan platform! Isuzu built Rodeo's and were THEN was rebadged as the Passport, SO THAT's what you do w/ a 2+2.... JK! akeizm
  5. Sounds like a great mod, can you not POST some pics here for us? Send em to me and I'll get em up for you...
  6. I find it interesting that Scottie is changing his filters regularly and leaving (Most) of the oil in for longer periods. Makes sense to me, but my wife just bought an Acura TSX and the OC intervals are 10K but the filter interval is 20K, even for the first one! I really want to get under that car and change the filter but she won't let me touch the car... What do you all think? Oh, and Fram is probably ok, there may be better, but I've got 120K on the clock on my Explorer and don't use any oil and still have great compression. I like Fram cause they put the rubber coating on the end
  7. I like the glass only hatch, that's pretty clean, didn't see the links w/ the interior pics or w/ the hood closed. Nicely done taillight work but I don't like them.
  8. Someone w/ a car hauler can make a sweet hybrid w/ two of the three of these cars cheap! Turbo or V8 Anyone got a hauler?
  9. I'd take them to a compotent machine shop and have them pressed in. I am not sure if they heat the pistons or not but that IS AN INTERFERENCE FIT. Don't do it yourself, should only cost a couple bucks each to have it done. Don't fret, most guy's that build engines have the shop do this for them. Good luck! Oh..And WELCOME to the board!!!
  10. Makes sense, if you bore / hone the cyl walls with OUT a plate and measure them with OUT the plate you should measure perfect cyllindars. BUT once you torque up the heads and all that the cyl's warp and are not perfect as noted in the pics above. Great example Grummpy!!
  11. Do a 2 liter engine so the badges match...
  12. no words, wish I was having a better year! Congrats Y, that car is f'ing awesome!!
  13. I think it looks dis-proportioned due to the top on it, we are not used to seeing the car like that. Can't tell if it needs an engine either, that could be a plate of shiny alum in the engine bay... Dunno, what's wrong w/ it??
  14. I guess I am a work in progress! As is everything I do. I am not the best at anything, but I try and do alot of different activities which keep me going and distracted at the same time. +'s and -'s... I TRY to be a good guy, fun, laid back whatever, but have found for some reason, the older I get the less of these I am. Not really sure how to fix that but I need to get on it, I'm not yet 30 and I don't want to be an old grouch. But I do enjoy life, try to not take much too seriously, have good relationships and I am reading more! Going back to school next semester for my Masters, (another distraction?) and all in all try to learn as much as I can about everything that pops up in life. Life ain't perfect, gotta roll w/ the Zhit and keep your head up. (Last HOLIDAY weekend I had to board my dad's place up because their was 4-5 people living there, my childhood home, talk about a bummer) Figure out a way to deal with each situation that arises an keep on TRUCKING! Love you guy's, this is my Rock, I come here just about everyday and try to keep tabs on all the activity going on and learn from your triumphs and... well what I like to call "learning activities". Keep it up and I can only hope to meet some of you in the future, hopefully by that time, I won't kringe too much when I say "beers on me"
  15. john, I should have used the word STRONGER, rather than BETTER. The reason I am wanting to use my R180 is because I think it will do me just fine as a daily driver w/ moderate load. I figure w/ a LSD R180 unit I'll have all the stuff I want (traction), and none stuff I don't (weight, mods, different parts, binding, unknown).
  16. Looks like I am late game, but CONGRATES Dos! Patience pays of eh? Wow that's great for you two! Good Luck!!!!
  17. Well, it is more symmetrical, does that count for anything??? I understand the 200 is better, but since it is more sought after and usually more $$, I figured a LSD 180 could be the ticket for a lower HP build up.
  18. Nice job, and thanks for the info!
