  1. Listed for Z31s, but THIS (Part No. 14495-Z31002) should be what your looking for. You might also consider safety wire. Its called a locking tab bracket or plate lock, and seeing as the Z31 has the same T3 flange, I doubt you'll have any problem with these. Post your results! I might just pick some up when my turbo build starts coming together. Edit: Added part number.
  2. I might have them, I'll check and PM pictures when I get home from work. How's $45 shipped sound?
  3. Not sure if anyone here surfs the Chive, but I was surprised to see a ZX thrown in with the likes of Ferrari and Gullwing Mercs ... Click HERE and scroll to #55. ...a bit of me died a little looking through these...
  4. There are plenty of RB25 builds on here, why don't you browse through those? For that matter, even the V8 builds might be a good source of inspiration... ...The information is here, you just have to take the time to read through and find it
  5. Pantera hatch + F1 style intake scoop ...Out of curiosity, why are you doing this?
  6. Bummpp Has anybody tried anything like THIS? This guy used a Volvo relay in conjunction with a Audi/BMW thermoswitch to control the Taurus fan. HERE is another thermoswitch option. Time to start scouring the boneyards, seems like this might be a cheap and reliable option for e-fan control.
  7. It's been done, check out 'Mr.Vengeance's 71 S30-240Z Shakotan Obake'... Alternatively, if you go on MSA's website and look at their smoked covers they have a picture of an orangish/red Z which might be a better clue as to how yours would look.
  8. I'm going to be rerouting a bunch of my hard lines soon (Shaving the engine bay in the S30, non-stock reservoirs on the MC), and figured it might be a good time to install some pressure and temperature sensors wired to some dummy lights in my dash. Car will only be tracked occasionally, so I could probably do without these, but I love functional 'bling' so oh well . I know I could put gauges, but I'm already going to be running a bunch and don't want the extra clutter when two small LEDs will do (Something like THIS.) Anyhow, I've been searching for some time and can't seem to find a good source for dummy light systems... If anybody has a good source for something like this, or knows of OEM senders that can easily be adapted I would greatly appreciate the info!
  9. Just curious if anybody has used the 2000-2005 (W30) Toyota MR2 Spyder power steering pump on their S30. I'm considering trying it out, but have some questions: 1.) What sort of fluid will play nice with the Electro-Hydraulic Power Steering pump and the Subaru rack? 2.) Are there any disadvantages from not hooking up a Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)? I've read that it will work fine without it, but I would like verification... 3.) Can Megasquirt provide an appropriate VSS signal? 4.) Will the 87 Maxima alternator swap be appropriate for this? (No large sound system or other heavy loads) Image for those visual types
  10. Hmmm... I recall this same question being asked a year or two back and it was the admin that said no donation was required for vehicle for sale posts. I guess there has been some rule changes since then, sorry for the misinformation.
  11. A donation is only required to sell parts, no donation is required to post in the cars for sale forum.
  12. Have you tried the Mitsubishi dealership yet? Seriously though, British racing green might be a good start for mixing.
  13. Here is the component list (including part numbers) laid out in order from block to turbo: Block Adapter 105121 - JEGS (1/8" NPT to -4AN 45° fitting male/male) *requires 1/8" NPT tap on block* Adapter to Hose 799-610085 - Russell (45° -4 AN female hose end) Hose 632013 - Russell Proclassic Black hose Hose to adapter 799-610015 - Russell (Straight -4 AN female hose end) Male/Male In-Line Pressure Gauge Adapter 110531 - JEGS (-4AN Pressure Gauge Union fitting) AutoMeter 2242 Oil Pressure sender Adapter to hose 799-610015 - Russell (Straight -4 AN female hose end) Hose 632013 - Russell Proclassic Black hose Hose to adapter 799-610015 - Russell (Straight -4 AN female hose end) Hose to Turbo Adapter 871204 - XRP (12mm X 1.5 to -4AN adapter)
  14. I know I'm being super anal retentive planning a setup like this, but I would like to get everyone’s opinion beforehand anyhow... If you think you know a better way, then post it up! The car is a 75' 280z with an L28 (N42 Block / P90 Head) + Holset HX35. To start off, I hate the usual 'stacked' fitting mess that most people use to run their oil supply and pressure sender. That said, the whole reason for going this route is cleanliness. I plan on shaving just about everything but the bare necessities from the engine bay, and anything that has to stay will get simplified or reduced as much as possible. In this case, I plan on moving the gauge sender behind the block. Every fitting here is anodized black, the hose is black and the lines will get tucked up next to the block as much as is possible. Also, I do not plan on running a restrictor as my research has led me to believe it is not necessary with this application. So here is the plan... 1.) Tap the block's gauge port for 1/8" NPT. (If anyone knows where I can get a BSPT to AN 45° adapter that would be better!) 2.) Use a 45° NPT to AN Adapter, and -4 AN hose to wrap around behind the block. 3.) Behind the block, mount a Male/Male inline gauge port for the pressure gauge (AutoMeter electrical) 4.) Continue to the other side of the block and connect to turbo 5.) Marvel at the lack of visible fittings, and cry about the cost of all the purdy black fittings! One concern is #3… Will I still get a relatively accurate reading after all the hose?
  15. That kind of information could be useful for a variety of reasons. If you have the time to illustrate each port in the manifold, and included the size/pitch if the factory threads, I'm sure you'd be helping people down the road if you took the time to post it up. Which manifold are you using?
  16. I plan on relocating the battery, but this definitely looks like it would work for what I have in mind. Thanks for posting it up!
  17. After about 30 minutes of digging through my random parts boxes, I managed to find it. It was a little rougher than I remembered, so I threw a quick sand/polish on it. Not perfect, by any means, but it's not like it needs to be shiny to work! Let me know if you want it! How's $10 shipped?
  18. I might, I'll have to check when I get off work...
  19. So I ended up picking up an NRG quick release for next to nothing, but as we know NRG's short hub doesn't actually fit our cars (even though it is listed as compatible), and the typical MOMO hub + regular quick release is just too long even with a flat wheel. Anyhow, care to share the specifics as to how you used the grant hub and your billet piece to make a short hub adapter? Of course, you could just PM me the price to make one! That would be even better...
  20. Any chance you could PM or post an answer to my question on post #97?
  21. Stumbled upon thus thread the other day, and really liked Pharaohabq's Photoshop. Anybody end up trying this? I might just have to keep a lookout for a Mini in the junkyards to try for myself...
  22. Any word on the Supra Injector o-ring kits? Also, do you have, or know of factory style holders/retainers that will work with a stock Z manifold and 440cc Supra injectors? I'm talking about the black plastic piece that bolts to the manifold and holds the injectors in place. I know the rail does the job, but I would prefer to have the extra insurance just in case (besides, it looks like something is missing without them). Thanks!
