  1. Hi guys maybe someone can help me out. I went on ModernMototsports website today to look at there brake package and the toyota 4x4 package wasn't there. Does anyone know why Ross stopped selling them?
  2. I have the Radiator kit too. Actually Mike Knell test fit it on my car around 7 months ago. The parts are all great quality and zinc plated. I haven't painted them and they lasted through the rainy season with no rust. Also the radiator is great. I didn't put the shroud on and no overheating at all this summer even in traffic. He does have provisions for the shroud going back on or a fan. Mine was one generation before though so I would have to drill 4 holes to put it back on. I haven't bothered though. It was a real easy swap too. Maybe 2 hours max. But that was with test fitting etc. I could do it way faster now having done it before. MikeJTR is Mike knell on the forum too. I still have my L28 in though, no v8 yet. So it will fit with that engine and a v8.
  3. Hey there, I am no body shop tech but I have used both products a lot. I am a model maker and those products do come in handy. I feel like your friend does too. Evercoat is smoother and comes in a wider mouthed can which makes scooping out easier. It just feels a bit creamier than bondo. Both products are the best of the ones out there though. Don't get anything from tap plastics as theres is crap. Have fun.
  4. From what I have read here for a while, most 240's are gonna have some rust. Now if you choose to find another one that you think is rust free you might end up being suprised it too has rust or at the price. I have seen many a member here replace floor pans fairly easily. Even for there first time welding. It might just be easier to keep what you have and have fun welding etc. Just my .02$
  5. It would be a little humbling to get passed on the highway by such a beautiful car especialy with "antique plates" Those plates look good on model t's ect. A little old school for such a modern looking beauty. Nice job!!!
  6. O.K. so I had nothing better to do and I emailed those guys. I was nice about it (just in my nature) and was like that really sucks that you would let something so little escalate into something so big and that the word is spreading etc. I signed it someone who cares. Right, so I wasn't expecting anything in return from them cause I figured they had better things to do etc. Here is what they emailed me. I thought I had to share, it's kind of funny: Hi, please don't tell me you believe everything you hear? Everything you see on the internet, TV, news, newspaper? Sorry, but me & my Dad have never said "internet fag", you are mistaken. Why don't you have Mr. Hollien provide you proof of our fraud of him? How do we owe him $1500?? Our paperwork show us that he still "AMP" money. I have proof of this and will love to prove that for you. I could go on internet tomorrow and claim that Microsoft ripped me for $250,000. How would you know if this was true or not? If I was going to claim my story on the internet I would think I would detail or itemize my list of how they took me for money. Where is the itemized list of how we ripped him off? Dave Hollein also forgot to tell us of him money woes. He dropped off his Mustang on March 13, 2004, said he would have a $2000 cash deposit to get the ball rolling. Sorry, but he didn't have any money for us. After promising several weeks that he would bring the money he finally called and put a $1000 on his credit card (April 2,2004). As we get into the project we tell Dave we need some more money, but he tells us that he has none. We ask him why didn't you tell us that. He told us that he is getting a loan from the credit union to pay us off. He reinsures us that he credit is good and he'll be able to get the loan no problem. So we fax over a estimate of the total charges to the credit union. On the assault that occurred here with the 18 year kid (6'5" 250lb) with my 67 year old Dad. Dad steps out of his office into the shop area to hand Dave H. his sunglasses that he had forgotten on his last visit. My Dad hands Dave his glasses, he thanks my Dad then my Dad asks him who all these people are with him? My Dad asks the other 4 people with Dave to step into the showroom where customers belong then the 6'5" 250lb kit leans over, crosses his arms, nudges my Dad, tells him that he is not moving and no one is making him move. Then I shoved him out of my Dads face. What would you have done? Then he goes on the internet, claims he has chest pains and shoulder pains. If he was in such much pain why didn't he go to urgent care or the hospital? If an assault took place then why didn't he file a police report? Where is the police report number???? Why don't you find out these answers before you start sending e-mails out. I have the proof that this kid still owes our company money. Please provide a fax and I'll fax it over. Please call if you would like to discuss more 1-800-454-8387. Your're right life is a b####. Thanks, tom ----- Original Message ----- ----- Original Message ----- From: Kyle Wolfe To: tom@ampperformance.com Sent: Friday, August 06, 2004 1:09 PM Subject: Mustang woes Sorry to hear all the bad press about you guys. Guess you should have better customer relations...... Not really worth a few thousand dollars is it. I think by now everyone has heard. Oh well, karma is a bitch. Sincerely, someone who cares
  7. Just wondering since you are going to become an architect why a mac is your kind of computer. Form Z is sold on a pc platform too. As well as autocad and many other architectural programs. I build architectural models for a living and thus deal with the big boys here in the SF bay area. Of my 4 plus years doing this I can say that only a hand ful of architects use a Mac based platform. I just thought I would inquire because pc laptops are way better priced and offer all the same software choices. Good luck either way and it is always wise to get extra protection.
  8. sweet!! opening up a hair salon are we?? Looks good.
  9. If you sold it what would you get for it really. Maybe a few thousand bucks. If you kept it and finished it some day what would it be worth then? A whole lot more. Since you don't "need" it then all the better to not have to rush and get it done. Plus by the time you have the time to really enjoy it again would you have the motivation to go find another one. Consider it a rainy day fun project. Just plain keep it!!
  10. Well my folks were the baby boomer generation. I guess I am gen X. Whatever it all means. I agree to the general statement we are all getting dumber. I feel however that I am not.(its all relative right) With posts like yours that add some perspective on generational observation I feel we might be able to learn a bit more. "give up" sounds good to me. At what cost is our oil? I know we are there for soooo much more. But really, give up, stop buying oil and bankrupt all those damn hateful nations who can't seem to be happy. Did you know there are no Muslim children songs. (my sister married a muslim guy and my wife is a music teacher so we looked) Nothing at all. We found a book online that had stolen song themes and rythems but all the words were f'd up. Nothing like singing songs to your children about killing infidels. Anyway thought that was messed up. Wish we hadn't tossed it out. But seriously, John, good email. All we can do is to try harder and love those that we have to love. Thanks for the good read. P.s. If a Muslim man dies killing his enemy and he goes to his heaven and has 20 virgins...what do muslim women get when they blow themselves up?? Do they become one of the virgins? I don't think they thought this up well.
  11. Is it getting cold? That looks awesome. I have been appreciating all your craftmenship since I joined and will continue to love looking at your car. It's a beauty. Now in color!!!
  12. Ugh, I don't even listen to music.....I was just kidding I don't evenb know what mp3's are.
  13. I'll swap. Still loading my collection on the computer. And my neighbor has a dvd burner, we've worked out arrangements allready. Who need so to send files online either? Too slow eveb with dsl. I'd be happy to mail cdr's. Plus think of all the compressed files that fit on a cdr. I can post what is in my collection if you want.
  14. 120gigs of songs!!! with the average mp3 around 3 or 4 megs that is like 300,000 songs. That's got to be a record. Thats like 30,000 cd's. Am I really wrong here or do you have them stored as wave files or something?
  15. Since you gutted the interior it will be rear easy to clean everything and reassemble. The car will be like new, not a crumb anywhere. Not many people remove carpet etc and clean that good. Like what has been said, set a high reserve and see who bites. That for sure is one nice find!!
  16. Wow, that looks like a project gone way bad. No way to make it street legal either. What is the point?
  17. I know I know wher the hell was I for the last 10 years. I never knew what all the buzz was about. I've had a 200 disk changer at home and thought that was all I needed. Guess I was wrong. Next will definately be an in dash player that reads mp3 files. The portable I bought with shipping was 20 bucks. So I'll start slow and cheap.
  18. try reinstalling the air regulator. I believe it is needed.
  19. So I have had plenty of time on my hands since hurting myself the other day. Luck had it that the night before falling off the loading dock I got a new dell dimensions 4600. Sound card, graphics, 3 gig processor etc, Well with it came their Jukebox software. Through it you can download music from the web listen to web radio, convert cd's to mp3, organize music on your computer, etc. I know that most of the world has known about this for a while, and being relatively young (30) you'd think I would have done this before. This is just great. I can bring cd's with hundreds of songs to work with me and listen to them on my computer and while I drive. No more radio!!! I already bought a used portable cd player on ebay that plays mp3's. So enough ranting ( pain medicine is great) thought I would share.
  20. mild v-8. zg flares, silvery blue, custom interior and dash, and finished.
  21. awesome. I love my quartz clock in my z. 26 years old, original, and still ticking. Turned the didgital clock off on my radio too just to injoy the analog clock.
  22. All the trouble aside. I think it is way cool that you and your son work on cars and such together. My dad and I never did that sort of thing and I am having to learn on my own. I can't wait to have some kids. Well, looking forward to it anyway.
  23. Maybe you are running really rich. Or have a bad seal around the filler neck.
  24. I can laser cut anything out of plastic and wood up to 1/2 inch. I know it isn't metal but I might get acces to a cnc plasma cutter soon.
  25. Well I can say though that my wife has been good to me. Spent the entire night with me in the er. And it isn't so bad. I do feel like I got run over but the vicadin is good. Oh well I am an idiot. At least now I get a long weekend. Always look on the bright side of life....
