Would have saved me a drive from Salt Lake City when I got my wagon....but the road trip was fun and my wagon had NO rust issues.....at all.

The tire screeching on dirt is possible... I have done it.. and it blew my mind.. I didn't think it was possible.. it has to be fine dirt though.

LOL !! .. I made the mistake of rubbing my eyes after handling some habaneros.. but not the twig and berries.. I don't think that is what they mean by a "warm and fuzzy" feeling

I admit, The design of the new GTR has grown on me... and I agree, you don't see that kind of attention to detail in ordinary cars.. Anyone seen this video of it yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=My7ZiAnQxZI&feature=related and where the hell is this thread headed??

Unfortunately, yes.. That is the only piece of rubber that is unobtainable and I didn't want to risk destroying it taking it out or removing the stainless trim. No aftermarket, no NOS, nothing.. I will be shaving some of the cracked rubber that is there and filling it with real rubber weather sealant ... not the shiny silicone stuff. Car should be home in a few days. Then the assembling will commence !

Thanks for the kind words... The dark color is Smoke from a Nissan Maxima. The orange is a blend. It does look a little better than the day I picked it up

The car has a new coat ! Snapped a couple of pictures while it was still in the booth.. Still have a couple of things to address later (pinstripe, etc). Geoff and the crew at Showtime Restorations in Cherryville ( showtimerestorations.com ) and did a nice job on the paint and body work. Now, to find all the pieces of the car to put it back together. Its going to make me nuts until its back on the road... one major step is out of the way.
